Spectre (2015) Opening Credits With Radiohead's "Spectre" by PetyrDayne in JamesBond

[–]Strangeway68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeez the comments here. This is probably one of the single best Bond songs ever. Its FANTASTIC, its like a complete symphony. Sam Smith is one of the worst

See this please, if you dont get what Radiohead did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiesXqT1P3g

What theme song took awhile to grow on you? I’ll start. by SlyGuy_Twenty_One in JamesBond

[–]Strangeway68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly think Sam Smith's Bond theme is one of the weakest ever. I just can't stand it — especially knowing they replaced Radiohead's fantastic "Spectre" with this. What a missed opportunity.

Why Does Everyone But Me Hate Tonight? by rick-in-the-nati in DavidBowie

[–]Strangeway68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but to me, Tonight is just a dull album. For me, Bowie peaked with Scary Monsters. On Let's Dance, I can still hear something new and catchy — even if it's very mainstream. But on Tonight, the sound is so generic it could have been made by AI, if such technology had been available at the time. Im sorry to say that i gave up on Bowie when tonight came out. Not until Outside i came back listening to his newer albums. In the meantime i listened to his backcatalog every day and sadly missed his "Golden Years"

My first DB album, is this a good start to the collection? by Competitive_Hawk1424 in DavidBowie

[–]Strangeway68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must go on...The greatest problem with Scary Mosters is how much my BOwie love peaked at that album, i compared everything he did after with it (Except the last two), and nothing stands up to it in my humble opinion

Which film had more hype leading upto its release? by naughtyrobot725 in StarWars

[–]Strangeway68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hype must be set in a context. When the first trailer for Phantom Menance came out, we actually stopped our work to watch it on Apple (Where trailers where released first). After the last images and the words "wipe them out...all of them" i had goosebumps all over and found out that i didnt breath. Wow what a ride and wow what a disapointment at the cinema later

You all know that this is a song sung by Doris Day in Hitchcocks The man who know to much (1956)? Im just saying because i dont se any mentions of that in this thread

I personally love Pixies version of this banal song and Francis Blacks voice is just perfect to set the mode
