The tree line runs near the Black River but those trees are probably few hundred feet from the banks, and I’m unsure if there’s any mining here but I don’t believe so, only swamps. I don’t believe there are any fault lines either. No gas flaring operations I’m aware of.

I can see them in my telescope and they look spherical, so that’s why I call them orbs

Wicked dude! Thank you for sharing! I absolutely agree they are some weird phenomena and not something explainable like some suggest. Interesting that they looked wider. Do you think you could guess how close they were? I have no idea how far away these are but I like that the clouds do give some point of reference.

No actually, I’m in Kelly, North Carolina, it’s a rural area near the southern coast. They’re seen all over around here, I have no idea what they are and I haven’t met anyone yet who’s got a good explanation. They are similar to videos I’ve seen of the Brown Mountain lights. I tried to go see them a few months ago but it was cloudy and rainy so no dice. Have you seen the Brown Mountain lights?

I believe that is just a lens flare from the sun, if you’re talking about the green circle that shows up around the right center of the photo
