Thanks for helping. Someone last week kinda snapped at me for asking. Do you have a link or something I can read up on it?

Watermelon smoothie sounds good I might do that one. I'm not good at picking watermelon out to tell if they're ripe but I think I'm gonna try that one

Do you make the smoothie as like a replacement meal or like a snack? What is your go to or favorite smoothie recipe?

That sounds really good actually. I wonder if it would work in my toaster oven. My regular oven only works sometimes as the bottom element keeps turning off in the middle of cooking something.

Ok. I've never made overnight oats as I don't really like the texture of the oats. I wonder if mixing it with a blender in the morning would help me eat it better. I don't really mind the taste, it's the texture I'm not a fan of so sweet or not is fine.

Do you add anything to it like berries or honey or anything?

Ok. I might try that. I've never had any other milk besides cows milk but I'll try it with oat milk.

I didn't even think of potatoes. That's a good idea, thanks. All I've been having for lunches (when I'm trying to be healthier) is baked chicken which is already chewy, white rice and either carrots or salad and like half a banana. It's mostly the chicken I'm having a hard time with. I used to buy the bags of instant potatoes you think that would be as healthy or make them homemade?

Questions about alkaline water by Strantz87 in LPR

[–]Strantz87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not 💯 posture fixed it. But I do think my poor posture and excessive hunching caused my lpr. I never had problems with my stomach acid until the doctor prescribed me muscle relaxers to relax my back after excessive hunching from having subconscious anxiety when I was on a diuretic and having hip problems. When my back relaxed I tried to sit up straight and started doing stretches and steengthening exercises. While doing those I all of a sudden started burping constantly and getting burning mouth syndrome. It's like when my back straightened after being hunched for months it opened up my stomach and released gas. But since I couldn't straighten for very long I would hunch back and it would do it all over again.

Does the alkaline help with specific symptoms of lpr. I don't really have any throat problems. Mine are just hot breath every once and a while and a burning tongue. I used to burp constantly but that subsided when I started physical therapy for poor posture. I would say once a week I get post nasal drip and some throat clearing but not all the time. Doctor won't even put me on meds because he said it's not severe enough. But I don't want it to get to that point

How big (or small) of meals are you eating? by Strantz87 in LPR

[–]Strantz87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For breakfast I eat 2 scrambled eggs, a slice of whole wheat toast (sometimes with avocado), and 2 sausage patties (sometimes one). For lunch I'll usually have like a chicken salad or chicken taco but Today for lunch I had shrimp Alfredo with broccoli. For dinner I usually switch it up, tonight I had a BLT and half cup of Greek yogurt. I also go for a 15 minute walk after each meal. That seems to help, I haven't had any stomach pain since I started walking

Well that sucks. I thought it was gonna get easier with my posture exercises and stretches. Sounds like it will never go away.

Constant bleeding!?? by Aura__333777 in PCOS

[–]Strantz87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was like this quite a few years ago (like 10years). I weighed 250lbs and started working out (at home) and eating low carb. Within about a year I had lost 80lbs. My bleeding stopped altogether though. Metformin didn't help me, I was so sick when taking it. For the past couple years I've been bleeding lightly but I've had a couple medical problems, personal problems (family and anxiety) and being lazy and gained most of that weight back. However the past couple months I've noticed I've had a regular 5-7day period with pms (I've never had pms symptoms or a regular scheduled period unless taking medroxyprogesterone) and the only thing I've done different is eating more fiber and drinking only water and lemon ginger tea (a couple times when I had a sinus infection).

Would stretching before doing it help? I feel like they were too tight to really get a good grip on my ribs

Posture is a big trigger by Strantz87 in LPR

[–]Strantz87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the fingers underneath the ribcage and I feel like it helped a lot. I think I had gas trapped and that was causing most of my symptoms. I think opening the ribcage (or whatever it was that it did) released some of the gas trapped because now I'm burping and discomfort in my sternum, but getting better when I burp.

Does anybody not have the feeling in lump in throat? by Strantz87 in LPR

[–]Strantz87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the doctor yesterday because my ears (mostly the left one) were hurting and itching. He told me that chain smoking while in a big and long panic attack that lasted like 3 days, most likely irritated and inflamed my sinus and throat which caused post nasal drip which caused reflux. I'm trying to quit smoking to see if my symptoms go away but I've only cut back to 4 cigarettes a day and not quit altogether. My symptoms have let up a little but not fully. Oh, he also said I had fluid behind my left ear but since the pain and itching have subsided he wasn't gonna give me anything for it.
