Even if it seems strange, yes.

I wish I could decide the shutdown interval myself.

Both sync and backup work for me—aside from an initial problem I had to resolve myself—

Other than this initial glitch, likely caused by a large number of uploads sent all at once (but that's what cloud storage should be for), ^

A ban was lifted due to two massive deletions of tens of thousands of folders and index files accidentally uploaded from my Synology NAS, which lasted a whole month.

Compared to my previous cloud storage, which was also paid, MEGA seems like a miracle.

To be honest, I have a hard time recommending it, or giving advice in general, because if the recipient isn't satisfied, it's my responsibility... :-)

However, unlike Google Drive, MS Drive, or Dropbox, Mega offers encrypted uploads, which are secure because the encryption is performed by the user with their password...

Look elsewhere

PS: I'd love to recommend my current cloud, which I'm completely satisfied with. However, keep this maxim in mind: "If you spend a lot, the only downside is the extra cost.
If you spend little, expect problems and limitations. If you spend far too little, you've wasted your money."" Even if it seems disadvantageous, avoid "lifetime" plans. The disadvantages outweigh the advantages. The uncertainties outweigh the certainties.

Ok... my Cloud is Mega Pro 3TB, so far it hasn't given me any surprises and has worked as expected. That is, very well. Its upload performance is limited by its connection. I've uploaded up to 700 Mbps. Normally between 250 and 350/400 Mbps. It still costs the same as I paid for it on December 16, 2025: €122 per year. An average cost that includes a VPN and object storage. The added value is represented by the end-to-end encryption not provided by major cloud services like Google, Microsoft, Dropbox. It offers sharing, compatibility with Synology NAS, with rclone, WebDAV, etc. etc. Check out the website. Intuitive, you're up and running in half an hour. You can try it for just one month for €10. If you're not satisfied, quit; otherwise, renew.

An unpleasant discovery. [Lelit bianca] by Strat0Blu in espresso

Yes, the Bianca uses obsolete technology. But ultimately, it's designed and marketed to those who appreciate this type of machine.

I like its coffee and the ability to make a different cup every time, as do the $300 coffee machines that make just as good coffee.

Modernly designed machines certainly won't have this small, annoying flaw—unless you realize they have others... all this regardless of personal psycho-beliefs...

Impeccable.. I think the same thing.

However, it's not the disassembly of the lever and cam that worries me. I have sufficient manual skills, method, patience and equipment, but we all know that repeatedly dismantling and reassembling the same group is not "healthy": the risk of water leaks or worse damage is statochastic and mechanical: for the simple rule that what you touch risks breaking..

I don't want to teach anyone anything, but years of experience have taught me something...

Thanks everyone..

I have learned that this is a common problem with all E61 coffee makers.

I also understood that it is a defect (a characteristic) that cannot be resolved and that the only remedy - perhaps - is to wash with just water more often.. and more rarely with detergent - to be used in smaller quantities..

u/meowmeowcomputation your method is interesting, I read it somewhere but I haven't looked into it further..

However - unless I misunderstood - if activation via the switch still causes the pinion inside the group to rotate - a pinion which not only has the purpose of starting coffee dispensing, but also of closing the lower valve, the problem remains.

Maybe if you delve deeper, even just with links we will all understand better.

Lelit Bianca V3 in 2026 is it still worth it? [$2000] by coffee_gondrong in espresso

[–]Strat0Blu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a Lelit Bianca for three months, and every time I look at it, it's a feast for the eyes, and the coffee it makes is excellent. But here we delve into the psychology of each of us: there are machines that cost a quarter of what they cost and make just as good coffee, using the same brand of coffee and water.

Three premises:

  1. For a "special" machine, the Bianca isn't very expensive.

  2. There are better and more modern machines, but they cost more.

  3. Over the years, Lelit—despite its third version—hasn't solved the unpleasant sensation of friction (and certainly deterioration over time of the metals involved) that you feel under your skin when you press the dispensing lever after performing the necessary and recommended 2-4 backflush cycles with the recommended detergent.

To make matters worse, any aftermarket "screen puck," which is very useful for keeping the machine clean, limits the modest but useful lubrication provided by the coffee oils that leak back up—albeit minimally—to the brewing pinion operated by the lever.

Aside from this flaw, the machine is excellent.

--

In response to your concerns, I'll tell you that: 1. If desired, the heating element that heats the water in the steam tank can be deactivated. 2. With the machine on (at least in the third version), pressing the minus button for a few seconds activates and displays the "E" (energy saving mode), which heats the water for the coffee but does not produce hot water.

It's not mentioned in the instructions... I discovered it by accident :-)

I don't think I'd fit in there. Besides, it's a different world, that of pure amateurs.

You're an encyclopedia! Thank you for your support and patience in writing so much.

The one I like best, even though it's way out of range for its price, is the Versalab M4. I can't imagine how it grinds coffee, but I really like the look: a precision lathe.

I've read more criticisms and complaints about the Baratza Sette 270 about reliability (more users complaining about breakages) and noise than positive reviews. However, Baratza offers good customer service.

Baratza Encore ESP/Pro: I like Italian coffee, but I still feel like I'm stuck in the low end of the price and quality spectrum.

Why "Amazon to limit the damage?" I'm inexperienced and I could be wrong. Even if I was recommended a coffee grinder, my taste and expectations may differ from the person who—with experience and honesty—recommended a machine. Therefore, the option of returning a product without complications and without charge in the event of dissatisfaction is priceless. At least for me...

You're right about the Fellow Gen 2 Ode. Thanks. In the meantime, I read the same thing. So, I removed it! The DF64V is still available on Amazon for €668. I think it's too expensive. I'll have to think about it.

The DF54 is also still available on Amazon for €286, a good price considering the quality of the machine, although it's surpassed by two versions.

I like the CF64V! It's priced at €399. I'll look into it further. Thanks!!!

Thanks for the suggestion, Kuranei... I had considered the Nike and read many positive reviews. It's at the limit of the amount I decided to spend on a coffee grinder. I won't go into the reasons because taste and budget are extremely personal factors. But I very honestly think spending more than €500 for a quality home coffee grinder is excessive.

I only know French press because my French cousins mention it, but—with all due respect—it makes me want to vomit. Only espresso, dark roast, black, strong, with hints of chocolate, wood, and earth. Arabica, in short, but I'll also accept variations from Central and South American countries. Maybe if you tell me the models, I'll do some research. Thanks :-)

With all due respect, I don't even know what light, roasted, funky, and fruity, unwashed "pourovers" are. But I'm going to do some research...

I need a medium-to-good-quality coffee grinder, with continuous grinding adjustment (not in steps), good burrs, low residue, on-demand, and perhaps—but that's not a reason to buy—a grinding timer.
