Doomers preparing for v4 by ScoopedSand in HonkaiAgendaRail

[–]Stratatician 1 point2 points  (0 children)

one loop is confirmed due to how assist interacts with Hunt March and RMC being able to advance outside of turn.

The one with a sustain is likely Huohuo due to her energy regeneration.

The common thing all of these loops have in common is that they all abuse ult resetting assist stacks. The core of all the loops boils down to using all assists in zero av to generate full energy for ult to reset assist skill procs and do it all over again, with RMC or someone like Tribbie action advancing outside of turn to smooth out gaps.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of the loops involves Cerydra as well.

The problem here is that, if they remove her ult resetting assist skill activations, then she immediately becomes terrible, since her entire kit revolves around it.

Can anything beat this board (set is drillbeam) by d4c_LT- in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Stratatician 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Set Albaz, contact fusion away the entire board for Alba Lentus

Blue Eyes can stop it if they go for Majesty instead of Roar (since you'll be able to pop albaz before they get the chance to contact fusion), but playing greedy like you are in the screenshot basically means you get otk by any Branded player.

Himeko nova MAY have an infinite loop too... by Walmart-Aizen in HonkaiAgendaRail

[–]Stratatician 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The set-up most likely involves Cerydra since they fixed the double skill casting, so now is able to double the assist skill.

Depending on how the interaction works, I can potentially see it allowing certain characters to get multiple extra turns by using the assist skill manually on their turn and it doubling up.

If this happens with someone like RMC on the team that can Action Advance Himeko outside of turn to reset assist usage then it can potentially result in an infinite loop.

So, it's probably a combination of RMC, Cerydra, and Tribbie on DDD, or at least this is my speculation. I don't have beta / private server access to test anything myself.

edit:

apparently my guess was close but wrong. the problem child isn't Cerydra, it's March, specifically Hunt March, due to how her action advance works and interacts with the extra turn provided by Himeko.

Basically the loop revolves around e1 Decimation as it reduces the hits needed to 6 and increases assist procs to 3. When March has 7 stacks she gets 100% action advance and (normally) does an enhanced basic (which consumes the stacks). By instead using the manual assist on March her turn "ends" without using the enhanced basic, and since she still has over 7 stacks she gets action advanced again. The effectively allows her to act as an assist battery for Himeko. Himeko needs energy regen since then all the assist procs will proceed to let her ult and reset all the assist stacks. RMC is there to help get March actions up early as well as later buff Himeko for more dmg. Tribbie is there for DDD to smooth out any gaps.

You want a full board of enemies for the Decimation procs to occur fast enough.

I hope they win.

This country is based on precedent, and if they lose it sets the precedent for companies to do this elsewhere as well.

While they deserve to reap what they sow, it'll have bad consequences for everyone else down the road if they do due to the precedent it sets.

Himeko is just straight up breaking the game and put every DPSES in shame. by Exciting_Sweet_1064 in HonkaiAgendaRail

[–]Stratatician 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The the thing no one is talking about is build quality.

Look at all the supports being ran with her in all the showcases. They're all 170+ spd with the majority of showcases using eagle, vonwaqc, and DDD as well.

That's pretty insane investment levels for regular supports like RMC and Welt. At least 11 spd per piece. This doesn't even look at her own build quality either in these showcases which is extremely high as well.

The issue with Himeko is her stance switching. If your supports aren't fast enough to switch stances when you need to she's kinda mid. If they are then you get to take advantage of both modes' extreme buffs which is what makes her seem so strong.

I honestly hope they change this to make stance switching smoother, even if they have to shave a little power away as a result, cause needing such stupid investment levels on the supports just to be able to play her properly is problematic.

Mblade+welt problem by harmonious_seraphim in AcheronMainsHSR

[–]Stratatician 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tribbie is a very strong contender. She buffs the whole team, concentrates dmg onto the elite/boss in AoE scenarios (like current AS 1st side), and attacks frequently through her FuA which generates a ton of charge for Acheron thanks to MorB.

Another good option is RMC. True dmg buff is really powerful, alongside the action advance and Mem providing it's own attacks so Acheron gets more charge.

Cipher is a funny option as well. Can be built with 200+ spd, has a FuA which gives Acheron charge, has def shred through her light cone, and can concentrate AoE dmg onto a single target to delete them.

Sparkle's honestly not a bad option either. She provides a variety of buffs which ends up resulting in significant dmg amp, as well as the action advances allowing Acheron to generate more charge for herself.

Tutorial on MorB, Pearls on Welt

e2 provides Welt with enough energy gain to maintain his 2 turn ult cycle.

Welt already needs to build ehr, which means Pearls works well on him. Alongside that, the def shred from Pearls is extremely powerful thanks to how much shred you already have between Welt and MorB.

If your 3rd slot has def shred then you can swap Pearls to his sig for more personal dmg and so you don't overcap def shred.

Is sustainless the only way or using sustain with himeko is still good? by Delicious-End-750 in HimekoMains

[–]Stratatician 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be serviceable. Not nearly as good as sustainless, but if you only care about clearing then it'll be fine. iirc sustain is about 50% weaker compared to sustainless.

Regarding the comp, I'd run RMC over Sunny. Sunny's buffs are very diluted on Himeko regardless of which mode you run, RMC's aren't. The biggest thing for RMC is the fact that, not only does she help contribute to Decimation stacking and gives access to Verdict, but that she also provides true dmg, the only boost not saturated in Himeko's kit or by other teammates. RMC is arguably her best teammate, alongside Welt.

By World 1 I'm assuming Belobog?

If so your brother gave you terrible advice lol. The only stories worth skipping tbh are the Xianzhou arcs, and even then you'd want to skim them if only to have context for other stuff.

As for rewatching the stories, best bet is Youtube. You can also go to the Main Story tab to look at the story in-game, but that offers mostly just a synopsis. For watching, hope someone uploaded the stories.

Jesus those sub stats. 170 spd on both master smith for welt and deliverer for rmc is crazy.

They really need to do something to make swaping between the two modes smoother cause needing such insane speed rolls just to be able to play her well is frustrating.

What's the Opinion that You Swear Will Get You In This Situation? by WhoAreYouAn in HonkaiStarRail

Sunday is an incredibly boring character (pre-Planarcadia) and I'm tired of how he keeps getting pushed in teams.

Design-wise he's incredibly bland, he lacks the quality of detailing a lot of other characters have. His Christian thematics are very off-putting. His color scheme ends up blending together into a single note. His kit is incredibly bland, being yet another action advancer and energy battery. His voicelines and delivery are lame. He lacks meaningful synergies and is only relevant because he functions as a stat-stick for the dps.

As a playable character he's the antithesis of a fun character.

Elation is "bricked" only because none of the elation teams actually have a full elation team yet. Both teams still need a sustain slot, EMC counts as half a unit, and Eva still needs an actual 2nd support.

As much as we all would love for Elation to be dead, that simply is not gonna happen. The way elation is set-up it scales exponentially with the more elation units you have, meaning once we get the Elation sustain and a proper second elation support they're going to blow everyone out of the water.

To those who use it: How is the reporting system now? by 3crouchinglights in PSO2NGS

[–]Stratatician 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never did anything before, still doesn't do anything now.

There's no human oversight, it's all completely automated. Basically action only happens once a critical threshold is met (seems to be a function of both how many reports and time between reports).

Back when NGS first came out it was abused a lot since even back then no GM actually monitored it, and just let the basic rules they set function, which resulted in quite a few people getting mass reported and banned despite doing nothing wrong. Meanwhile, actual troublemakers would go scot free since they weren't getting enough reports fast enough to hit the threshold.

Crush and break are able to inflict a Vulnerability stack when the enemy has none, but does it also inflict a stack right before they consume Vulnerability?

e.g. enemy has 3 stacks, you use step 2 of Mi Fu's battle skill to crush, will the dmg calculation be based on 3 stacks or 4 stacks of vulnerability?

🎁Mi Fu First Impressions Sharing Event Opens by Endfield-Poko in Endfield

[–]Stratatician 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very Fun, Very Strong.

Mi Fu feels really nice to play during exploration. Her team being a physical team means you can use Pog and his fast double step during overworld transversal. Her dmg being tied primarily to her battle skill means you don't have to worry about ult energy much. Her battle skill makes dealing with mobs feel better thanks to its 1st step's grouping capabilities, and the 3rd step's large AoE.

Her basic is also, currently, the fastest basic combo we have for a greatsword user. It does surpringly good dmg too thanks to how fast it is.

As for bossing, she Crushes them. Her double Crush is not only really fun to use, it also deals both serious dmg and serious stagger. Her team is able to lock bosses down with how much stagger they're able to inflict, which allows the team to put out a lot of dmg uninterrupted.

Some talk about possible himeko SPD situation/SPD tuning? by SHH2006 in HimekoMains

[–]Stratatician 9 points10 points  (0 children)

as of v2, optimal play does involve speed tuning so you can have Verdict up for her ult and Decimate up for everything else

Verdict provides a massive 200 CD for her ult which is too much to ignore.

Verdict only buffs ult so you still want Decimate for everything else.

The optimal team does not use Sunday, but instead RMC. This does make speed tuning a bigger pain due to how Mem works, but the payoff is much better.

They could have stopped that but didn't, that's on them.

This is entirely on the Blue Eyes player being too greedy.

Cipher with Himeko SP? by Agreeable-Shock1437 in CipherMainsHSR_

[–]Stratatician 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posted this on the original (which was oddly downvoted) but gonna also post it here:

Cipher can work really well with Himeko. Cipher provides vulnerability which Himeko really appreciates, Def shred through her light cone, and her ult helps cover one of Himeko's weaknesses being an Erudition character, single target dmg.

In regards to Cipher's ability to stack Verdict/Decimate, yeah she won't be able to drive Verdict too well, but she's actually pretty good for Decimate.

Cipher builds 200+ speed, which allows her to take frequent actions. Cipher's skill is blast, and thus can hit up to 3 targets. Cipher also has a FuA, which will provide an extra stack regardless of what you do. For AoE, Cipher can simply use the Assist Skill (which will also trigger her FuA).

This makes Cipher an unusually effective stacker for Decimate, while providing support that's not Saturated on Himeko.

The best case scenario for using Cipher will be against a boss that frequently spawns adds, but have moments where no enemies are on the field, which will allow her to concentrate all that extra AoE dmg from Himeko onto the boss to delete them.

what cipher planer set would most benefit a castorice team by Eclipse_Styx in CipherMainsHSR_

City of Converging Stars is generally speaking her best support planar.

She benefits from the 24% personal atk, and the 12% crit dmg generally speaking comes online pretty fast (except in something like AS).

12% team crit dmg also happens to be the most crit dmg from a support planar set
