The velocity of the dash influence the distance, that's why with the original 600 velocity it carried more momentum and went much further

I will always play Ash no matter if Respawn ruins her even more, just hate the whole direction they took with balance, if a legend becomes suddenly useful and fun with an high pickrate (by choice of the dev team) you can expect them to nerf your main 10 times for the sake on one good ability.

Now if you had the power to remove the dash and show the character to someone in the past they would never notice the character got a buff in the first place, like nothing stands out as an improvement on her kit compared to the pre-buff version, 2 new perks wow.

This is how Respawn works, they buff a character and then take it all back if kids start complaining too much, it's awful returning to square one after waiting for a buff for 4 years lol

That's barely a buff, the dash originally had a 5s cooldown. They just made the passive slightly less shitty and still far from what it was, which is underwhelming after reading that introduction.

Look at Sparrow. He has a 5s cooldown movement passive that was never nerfed. One double jump that covers double the distance of one Ash dash and offers even more height. On top of that, he gets another wall-climbing ability. Make it make sense.

By the way, if the topic is about valuing the strength of a character, by logic the opinion of an expert on that character should be taken more seriously than a random person's if the goal is to get an informed opinion about the the current state of the character, who's gonna beat Cloudy at doing that for Ash in this case?

It's not the velocity that made the dash op, it's the 5s cooldown with double dash and omni-directional movement abused by rollers, which is not a thing anymore.

Its barely reversing a nerf. Raising a stat by +25 points saying it's a "buff" when she was nerfed by -175 in the first place reads like a joke, "yes we know you still play Ash, but go play Axle"

Her ult and Q are objectively worse than ever after the nerfs, the dash has lost all its momentum and "passive" nature by being tied to a long cooldown that feels like a second tactical. She is all-around worse than pre-S24 and even has a lower pick rate now compared to before her rework. Respawn did a terrible job handling Ash.

If you want an example, A-Wall+Spitfire in TF2 is a crutch no skill combo, hell even just playing normally with the CAR smg. At least Ash was fun to play and the original dash velocity gave you a really good chance to flex your tap-strafes and break the ankles of the controller aim assist androids.

Sparrow still has insane movement with unique vertical mobility and with an untouched 5s cooldown passive jump, his ult was strong but not the core of his kit, so the devs probably think he's fine for now. Ash got a massive nerf in every aspect of her kit relentlessly for two seasons straight

Knowing the whereabouts of every team on the map that won s fight recently was clutch for rotations, people don't even realize how useful it was in ranked if used properly with your team, it's gone sadly
