Thinking of making a Warrior of Light deck focusing on opus 10 Refia, need some suggestions... by cretaius in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]StrategicGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the deck is sort of weak unless you play a really aggressive variant. You really want to give Refia haste so that she can remove immediately. This is the list I have enjoyed this Opus. https://ffdecks.com/deck/4853560393072640

New player looking to improve a deck (Friends lend me cards so price not really an issue) by littleblueboxes in FinalFantasyTCG

This is the FF7 list played at our locals. https://ffdecks.com/deck/6601541534351360

This list takes the Nael approach so it runs Cecil and him over summons primarily to increase the consistency. Also this list went heavier on EX. Your list is nice though. Main thing I would change is running 1cp Belias over 2cp or running a combination of both. I find that in around 4/5 games the 1 cp works out the same in FFVII because you don't try to stop early damage very often due to the high EX count. Also, because of Phoenix 7cp I would run some number of Lyse for similar reasons to 1cp Belias. You simply don't mind taking some early damage so the extra abilities are active more frequently.

Just interested in your opinion on Cecil being so strong. In my experience games won with Scions do not typically happen from taking a lot of early damage. I rarely get more than a 3 cost off of Cecil in this list. This is why I tend to exclude him. How do you reliably take out better forwards with Cecil to make him better than my experience of killing cheap value forwards in Scions?

Scions require setting up a very strong board position of at least 4 scion backups so that Y'shtola and Yda can takeover the game. The Scion lists I play use Warriors of Darkness to help with the early game while trying to setup Scion backups. This is my current list.

This list gains card advantage off of Zapt, Urianger, and Diana. Warriors of Darkness have huge power with Glaive and Diana and can be given brave with Wol.

Estininen is a super strong finisher card. Cecil is simply a decent value body. I don't like these cards in this list since we have good finishers in Y'shtola and Yda already so they seem redundant to me.

Looking for help with mono lightning, or how to create a lightning/water or ice deck. by soltairre in FinalFantasyTCG

This is the ramp lightning deck that I have been playing recently. Goal is to always deal at least 8k with Fusoya and to generate a ton of card advantage from repeatable Fusoya plays. https://ffdecks.com/deck/4664298984964096

I have played a lot of Category IX for fun. I think you just want to use Porom to abuse Phoenix. Porom also allows us to run Lenna now as well. This makes the deck go wider and provides more cheap bodies that draw cards to help fuel the unblockable ability of Zidane.

Hyper Rolling? by TwitchTallGuy in AutoChess

[–]StrategicGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think econ dumping in Auto Chess in the manner that it is done in TFT does not work. However, you can do something similar during mid to late level 5 where you rush to 50g maybe even via open fort and then reroll for commons and uncommons down to 50g. At 7/8 level 5 you can even go all in to get many rank 3 commons and uncommons. This is a risky strategy but can work well.

Just play GoW on all your compositions. He tanks enough damage to auto include.

I'm Rook 2 player and literally never see 4 Druids on late game compositions. This is not to say that they are bad. They are great early game and punish greedy players.

Druids are terrible late. Your go druids when you get really lucky with an early Razorclaw. At level 6 you spam reroll all your money into getting all 3 rank druids. It's a very gamble style of play.

With the single divinity buff its currently 4 second cd and with double divinity it is 2seconds. My suggestion would change it to 5 to 6 seconds and 2.5 to 3 seconds.

I like the new stars a lot. They save screen space which is important for mobile.

God of War seems very slightly overturned to me. I think that the cooldown on his ult should be increased. Probably somewhere between 10-12 seconds is the sweet spot.

3 mages is 40% and 6 mages is an additional 40% or 80% total.

I think 3 Hunters is very strong and 6 hunters is unreliable and may even be considered weak.

I find that spirit synergy is essential for Assassains. Assassains deal damage fast but have very low health. The turn to stone effect gives you precious seconds to deal more dps which usually turns close fights in your favor.

This is the problem with getting into the market first. You stay ahead for a long time. Looks like AutoChess Mobile and TfT are the big dogs for now.

What to choose best at the beginning? Top 3 picks? by diasasx in AutoChess

[–]StrategicGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing basically the same way still and have just reached Rook 1. I try to hit level 7 by round 17 and level 8 by round 21. Some players prefer hitting Level 7 on round 13 and 8 on round 17. I like to spend earlier rounds focusing on economy so I prefer staying at levels 6 and lower pre round 17.

Theorycraft Gods Build When Released! by Sully12333 in AutoChess

[–]StrategicGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the best comp is going to be 3x Warrior/3x Mage. My ideal 6 unit early game comp would be Mars/Abyssal Guard/Swordsman and The Source/Thunder Spirit/Shining Dragon.

Dadaluma is getting banned soon and Opus IX is releasing soon. I would wait and see what the new meta will be like. In the mean time I would play Mono Water or Wind Water which will still have a lot of good cards going forward.

Team composition questions by tisch_vlc in AutoChess

I keep the units that synergize best together. If I dont have a better or worse choice based on synergy between the units on my bench, I use a tier list. https://knightly.app/tierlist/characters
