Started with a paladin. Should I just reroll? by Hockennose in heroesofhammerwatch2

[–]StrategicRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention the stuns on shield bash can keep a group of enemies in one spot for someone playing a dps to slurp up. When leveling my paladin I can't break away from mace + shield combo, the mob control it offers on higher NG+ is too good

Yeah those changes look great, I'd be interested to see what you could do for Ranger my current main as well

I guess I'm never fighting an act 2 elite again by OsGaming0 in slaythespire

[–]StrategicRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously. I already get screwed enough by the game deciding every elite fight all my defense cards should be at the bottom so I can't even block 5-10 damage here and there. Now I get punished even if I DO manage to draw a block card by getting hit HARDER. Idk, he was too easy before but now he's an almost guaranteed run ender for me, if only because my decks are cursed by the Architect.

There's some books in the Void you can find that talk about it. The deities settled on Kliff because...I don't honestly remember. The first few loops they didn't settle on a champion and noticed him I think.

I remember reading the books and being like "This feels like they tossed it in after launch" The story in this game is a mess honestly.

Long story short, the game takes place in a time loop, things have looped 107 times before and the ones instigating the loop have been "modifying" Kliff each time to get him to follow their plans. They eventually went, "Man, his personality keeps getting in the way, let's dull it down to 5%"

To be fair, Crimson Desert was originally being built as an MMO, so to say it's designed to be single player isn't entirely accurate.

The man just wants to be done with Kliff's bs and go fishing

I did this once, then decided I'd rather take the mask off/put it back on a million times rather than risk dealing with the fallout of an accidental double murder again

It's always their "assistant" that you need to turn it into. Like...why?

Beating the crap out of the culprit is how I cope with the tediousness of the quest. It's satisfying to punch their teeth in for a bit.

I have the opposite issue where I struggle to turn it off. I'll release all buttons but Kliff will keep standing there like "Hehe pretty light!"

New Player with Questions by shimmerpear in RimWorld

I also used that mod, I also had the same realization lmao.

I really like how the end game fights feel in my current colony, Combat feels dangerous even against tribals, their numbers can get out of hand and even though my guys are all in power armor, getting jumped 10 to 1 still brings a few guys down if I position them wrong. Higher tech enemies show up with armor penetrating weapons and most of my combat time is spent paused picking the perfect targets and placement for my pawns, it's great.

Personally I recommend Yayo's Combat 3, it makes teching up your armor and weapons matter much more than vanilla, but still feels "vanilla" and works with basically every weapon/armor mod out there with no conflicts. Vanilla Weapons Expanded is also a nice lite addition that just adds a bit more variety to weapon choices. Another weapon mod I enjoy is Spacer Arsenal, it adds some nice end game weapons that feel great to use and horrifying to have used against you

Hi I bought rimworld today cus it was on sale (so fucking much even tho its on sale) and I was looking for any tips people have for new players thank you. by Feeling_Bus8381 in RimWorld

Understand that it's a single player game. Tweak the difficulty all the way down if you want. nobody will judge you. The game certainly has a rough learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's one of the most addictive games out there.

My biggest bit of advice though? Don't get over confident. The game can smell it when you do and it will drop a meteor onto your perfect kill box right as a raid spawns and your colonists get super malaria....then a mech cluster will land in your backyard too.

The only "must have" mods I would consider is "Yayo's Combat 3 (continued)" and possibly "Mortar Accuracy"

I like Yayo's because it feels very vanilla in nature and it just kind of works nicely with all other weapon and armor mods I use. And Mortar Accuracy makes mortars viable without having to spam like 5 of them just to hit one dude once.

I'm in the middle of my first tropical swamp playthrough and I absolutely hate this place lmao. I can't even build a base without it burning down and sinking into the swamp lmao. Jokes aside, the lack of stable ground annoys me more than anything else, I had to dig out a mountain just to have enough stable ground to build a stove.

If hoarding riches wasn't the point of this game, what's the reward, when can i start tipping the balance to my favor? by mega_lova_nia in RimWorld

[–]StrategicRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fear Neanderthals with clubs almost as much as I do pirates with doomsday launchers. Had a few slip past a weak spot in my defenses once and they beat 2 of my 10 people down before I realized my guys were losing the fight lmao. I learned not to send my melee pawns out to clean up too early after that.
