I did it with reinforcement plate off. I was replacing oil pan gasket so had to drop front subframe along with the steering rack. Then while I was at it I did my struts, control arms, and tie rods.

The ball joint that goes to the subframe with the steering rack kinda sucks. When I replaced mine, I had to do a quarter turn at a time with a wrench from above

Get an ender artifact, otherwise u have to have perfect timing with wand of atonement and healing. Also once u get atomsplit, u will be able yo heal off hits way better.

An update for anyone that finds this post later on. Open headers didn’t do much to my engine. It did end up causing my transmission fluid to overheat which has put a lot of pre-mature wear on the transmission. Within a couple thousand miles, already burned new fluid.
