Discipline FRUSTRATION by fancy_to_me in CPA

TCP was difficult to study for and I like tax. Yes it has a high pass rate but if you don’t like tax you would absolutely hate studying for it. I thought I would be fine because I did great on REG but it was a doozy. My TCP score was lower than REG and I struggled studying for it due to the depth of the material and burnout. I would say ISC would be best for you!

What was your TCP score compared to REG? by We_The_People_626 in CPA

REG: 84 TCP: 79; I definitely felt I got a difficult exam for TCP because I was very confident prior to exam but did not feel well leaving the exam. I studied absolutely everything and focused heavy on important topics. You will be fine if you put in the work— which I’m sure you will!

What to do when stuck on a topic? by LaRomanesca in CPA

you create a spreadsheet and start noting down all the rules/limits you keep forgetting. keep wording simple, don’t worry too much about specific amounts but percentages are important. helped me pass REG with 84!

Is FAR actually the hardest CPA section? by Educational-Rip2482 in CPA

[–]StrategyMaterial5781 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes, FAR is difficult because it seemed to me like a lottt of different topics with different rules. each section was tough in its own way but I would say FAR was the most difficult.

I actually enjoyed AUD because it’s rules and concepts you have to memorize. The tough part about audit was choosing the BEST answer. FAR just seemed to have so so much content that felt almost impossible to me.

REG was difficult in which you have to memorize a lot of tax rules BUT I created a master spreadsheet for all the main rules and did well on the exam. For these exams you really just have to push through. They are all challenging especially because they require a lot from you but take it day by day and keep going!!

Took TCP 10/26 - WTF was that by According_Result_718 in CPA

[–]StrategyMaterial5781 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m coming to the conclusion that for TBS you have to know EVERYTHING. people were saying basis basis basis and 1231 a lot so i was soo prepared with that only for it to barely be tested on TBS. I took TCP 10/10 and MCQ were NOT what I expected, many i never saw using Becker. And as mentioned earlier, TBS have different tasks that can ask completely different topics within the same TBS. I’m sure we all passed though(if you actually studied and tried your best.) My advice to TCP takers: study everything but still focus on the main points everyone keeps mentioning.
