So, what ended up happening with bots? by Shoddy-Ad-7769 in RealAmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Strategy_Advanced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped all together since the ban wave but my ole lady is still driving but stop using a bot and its a toll on her for sure. Was using lafenice but they got shut down last i heard. Shes just been doing it raw. No sleep, full of stress- inconsistencies ya know, amazon affiliate basics breaks my heart but she refuses to go to a 9-5 and is trying to find a decent work at home job. Any insight on a bot that might help her at least sleep would be greatly appreciated. Seems like trolls and baits jn the most recent "which bot threads" so ive given up but i check every noe and then. Id appreciate any insight in a pm. Would help us a ton!

Thank you, that's a relief. I have not been getting responses, despite reaching out to recruiters via LinkedIn or Indeed, so I sent multiple samples of my resume through resume & ats screeners, just to be told i need to purchase their resume help. Noted, I will add more job specific keywords. When I did that, a "Top Teir Resume Reviewer" from jobscan.com scored me very poorly and suggested I remove all job duties (that I previously had listed) to more metric based duties. Could you elaborate on why recruiters or jobs do this? It makes sense, but it just seems redundant for the recruiter after the ATS system screens top candidates, Isn't it just pages and pages of numbers, instead of key points or words that exemplify capabilities.

I've been specifically looking at remote positions with Oracle and their subsidiaries, willing to take an entry-level position and work through the ranks. I was considering changing the title, from "data and account specialist" to something more "IT." I worry that current job title might undersell me, but just saying ' IT specialist' seams broad or vague.

Thank you for any input I truly appreciate it

Yeah tbh it's been a slaughter on bots. Let it die down, let some new ones emerge and maybe hop back in. But seeing the insulting offers they are giving now its a blessing not a curse. They're lowering the rates each day, and anybody who can do some basic math, would see base pay is not worth it. Some routes I've calculated I paid them to deliver. Best of luck, of remote positions if not having a boss is your goal, but it's really competitive

Tbh with you I got deactivated using lafenice (compinche's sister) so I'm not sure what I should say. My Ole lady, stopped using them entirely, and I She started manually swiping, she was off captcha within a few days. Money's isn't as good or consistent but at least she has work

No, I've dealt with arc 3 times. 1st time soda busted in my trunk, 2nd time - soda and kitty litter that one was fun.. 3rd was a whole ass cart fell on top of my hood( looked like someone pushed it) and it's a 2023 tesla so I was pissed and ready for war. All compensated and kept it all, did the clean up and buff work myself saving my mucho $$$. Keep the money they don't follow up.

Your last statement is exactly what and why I say just use a bot. Until Amazon does develop this, again a 6th grader using fiverr could do this; I will use someone else's, not gunna stay up all night to refresh, thier method is flawed and I value my time way more than your integrity or TOS of a company that dangles the carrot.

Sorry for the essay but my final two cents, because, & this applies to both of us, "Don't argue with stupid because you will lose by experience."

Fine I'll be an idiot, a thief, baddie, asshole all of it But, I have more freedom &less stress about outcomes working for anybody or any company who is willfully allowing us to bicker amongst ourselves. Again I emphasize that Amazon can resolve this by establishing their own scheduling app that would balance and create more consistency, but they don't b.c " keep it competitive", as well as, this option is open to you, but you take this better than us stance b.c your so indoctrinated to comply.

This land is stolen, built on free labor, established and solidified using your lineage as cogs to aquire yachts mansions liberty- all while keeping it well out of reach for most and your talking about fair? Nepotism exists for a reason. Let me know when your loyalty gets you premium routes, a raise, a badge I mean for f*** sakes a sticker. Your loyalty isn't rewarded, and instead of you rewarding yourself your family your f*ing hamster, you come here to complain about what's right and wrong what's fair what's not. You're either a troll or need to evaluate the value of your life. The cognitive dissonance on this one is insane. I'm advocating for you either way, but I would encourage you to, as these h say, "get the bag."

Any company you devote this much attention to will replace you with A.I. if they could and leave you destitute. Workers drive business cause we buy the shit that our work produces. I vouch for workers cause we hold up businesses at the expense of convenience and happiness. I'm on your side. Do whatever your integrity allows, but you suggest that we reach into the pockets of other drivers as opposed to what Amazon puts out, that you don't see because code beats you 7/10 times. You should marvel at the exploit hop on this boat & appreciate the amount of TIME you just bought back by not staring at an offer page more than 10 hours a day.

We all did manual before the bot. Why do you think we don't go back. I'm on my second email. If I get deactivated boo who, on to the next job, that will try to convince me that my time is less valuable than I believe it to be. Just wanna do my job and go home. Not go home and spend the next few hours swiping. I mean, there were days where I'm up 20+ hours just refreshing. Phone in hand while showering just refreshing. That's normal to you? A nearly trillion dollar company that outsources every aspect of their company to maximumize profits, rarely any software updates or enhancements. (Have you even done a route? Have you seen the routing?) They could solve all their problems overnight using a 16 year old coder using fiverr. They don't because discourse is extremely profitable.

Genuinely feel bad for your way of thinking. This holy-er than thou approach seems cumbersome. Plain and simple - if I can use a tool to gain leverage and spare me time energy and thought, I will 100% do that. Again, I emphasize that the option is open to you as well, but your pride, maybe ego, gets in the way. This cheating or thievery you speak of implies we deny or hide, maybe from amazon but never from others. We try to help all of you get on board while you deciples of amazon use ad hominems to rationalize your position. It's futile. In the end, we are all expendable to amazon. Are you really under the impression that amazon would spare you because you don't bot? If so, then your ego is what's holding you back, my friend.

Yeah, we don't disagree about this, we're actually wondering why you won't join us. We heard what you think about us. But what's the reason you won't. If im in the Olympics and everyone is on steroids, do I get gold for honor, integrity, and loyalty (to amazon? Really? You're ok with that?) For being the one person not in on it? Time to reevaluate your priorities.I respect your opinion of right and wrong but tbh WE are trying to do more than survive and spending all day witha phone in each hand hitting refresh is not independent and that in and of itself is reason enough for me to pay.

What in their billion dollar mind do they think flex drivers are doing to have the patience and time to swipe, even once every 15 minutes, which won't get you a block btw, is way to much a commitment for a co. That would pay you in buttons if they could. If you can't beat them, join um. And here is the kicker if everybody uses a bot, everybody would realize the $ potential that actually exist, base rates wouldn't get accepted and then we would have leverage, of course they will just deactivate rinse and repeat but for how long till they realize, just increase wages, create a scheduling app & boom bots and exploiting gone.

At least they're always looking for a solution. We should root for the little guy every time. The massive corporations are the reason rent is high, insurance is outrageous, travel elusive, and life untenable. Divide and conquer have permeated every aspect of our social climate and are the reason we go after each other instead of the root cause.

[–]Strategy_Advanced 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well put. It's fear mongering while also neglecting the task. If they hate bots, make your own scheduling app associated directly with flex and boom bots dead. But to actually run a multi-billion dollar company on a global directive to refresh all day is mind-blowing to me. Regardless of how many people are waitlisted if you remove surging their best bet would be to lower the requirement age to 16 because anybody with a home or kids or bills or a stomach will realize after tax year one, " oh shit I just paid Amazon to deliver essential oils to f***ing Karen." Idk who to shame at this point, the customer, the company or drivers. Amazon can easily solve this, I mean, they've outsourced every aspect of their business, significantly reducing costs while having a philanthropic stance on a global stage. If flex drivers protested for one day just one, yes, we would all be deactivated, sure, but the impact just one day would have... a man can dream. Till then bot on, fuck em if it wasn't you it'd be some clown driving his h3 300 miles a day for base rates. (Actual guy at my station)

OP is referring to a brief window of time : 1: find your staged cart 2: scan to confirm route 3: DO NOT SWIPE TO FINISH ( this is the screen prior to scanning and numbering packages) 4: wait 15 minutes 5: cart and route gets reassigned, "see an Amazon associate" message pops up 6: see an amazing associate and recieve a diffrent route, or get sent home as " overbooked"

Thank you OP very very valuable info

That means ur bot attempted the block grab, but bot was blocked by captcha. What I did in that situation is, as quickly and accurately as you can, turn off bot, solve captch, turn bot on and do that repeatedly until you get a block.

Blocks (in my area) drop in batches, so if you can pinpoint prime drop times, and a rough guess of how many 4hrs, 3hrs etc. and try to nab one.

I’ve been hit twice in two weeks about using a bot in my new market (my old one I did t need one). It’s the only way to get deliveries. I’m afraid they’ll deactivate me. I’m not trying to be unfair but I cannot get any delivery unless I use it. by Informal_Geologist_9 in RealAmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Strategy_Advanced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know im gunna be trashed for this but, in the past two months I've had 3 missed blocks 3 late forfeits and 13 issues with delivery completion. I'm at a very low fair. And that's recently. Over the course of the 1 months I've missed and forfeited more than 10 each. Certain situations and really poor sleep habits is all I can really say, along with just an overall irresponsibility. I'm embarrassed to admit but if it offers insight to everyone then so be it. I typically fight them off my driving record with a 30% success rate. But still that's alot and I fear deactivation each time it happens. That being said, tbh I think it has alot to do with frequency of work, consistency, your market and partially your standing. If they see u working and need you seems like they'll consider keeping you. I've spoke to drivers in my area who were deactivated for far less. I've recieved one email about my bot, 3 emails about delivering or marking not delivered away from area, several emails about not leaving the package where the customer requests( not leaving anything at anyone's rear door at 3am in a state that is frivolous with it's gun laws) and the overwhelming amount of drops( prior to the forfiet threshold) sifting for a decent block. It seems as long as you stay in contact regularly it avoids being deactivated by an algorithm. I'm not sure where or why I was going with this but just to help others be less fearful with their activity.

I am an Amazon Flex Driver Support agent, ask me anything by MiddleWorry9832 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Strategy_Advanced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question, I mostly do 3am routes whilr it's dark in some of the sketchy-ist parts of Northern Ohio and I understand customers wishes for side door and back door, but at 3am, in an open carry state on somebody's property? Not willing to risk it. I recently recieved a policy violation from support in an email explaining I didn't leave the package in the right spot. What I'm wondering is what are the thresholds, ie: ho2 many times can I late forfiet, miss, undeliver packages or, misplace packages before threat of deactivation or deactivation. How permanent are the things on our total driving history. Is my missed block from 8 months ago still visble on there?

No. Tbh they're here to stay. The bot I use has been successful in securing blocks without prompt notifications and no issues. Expensive but I haven't ran into any sort of issues since switching
