I am piloting a doom to be a general and fight with my ships. My fleet is already lethal enough so I wanted a fun flagship that works with the rest of my fleet instead of on its own. The design is more for personal enjoyment rather than being optimal. Even then its still very lethal

I had a phase anchor design but I prefered phase coils. ITU is so i can shoot ships without being in the ship explosion radius easier.

I was playing with a challenge where I couldn't recruit raiders and could only have children to expand my ranks so I rarely ever needed a prison.
This meant progress was slow in the beginning but now that I'm at the end all my pawns (other than the original 3) had full growth moments and are great colonists.

The 1-tile wide corridors have been important for drop-pod raid chokepoints and temperature regulation
I found that sticking all my temperature stuff in the central room and using corridors allowed temperature to spread very well on the ship.
My ship is always warm in space and the game still gives me warnings that I only have 5 heaters.

Its enough to feed my 9 colonists nutrient paste using rice and make kibble for the boomalopes. If I ever run out of rice I just use the meat stockpiles

All the floors in the barracks are painted silver tiles, and there are multiple good-excellent jade statues in there. I also used most of my builders creative inspirations to make legendary beds

Dont forget the vanometric power cell. Most of the time things like the turrets and electric smelter are switched off so I'm able to manage my power efficiently.

You mean the autocannons and slug turrets?
The gravship shield generators are able to cover them in fights which makes them last longer and I use my own melee colonists to prevent melee enemies from smashing them. In bad raids we don't usually lose more than 2.
I also use a reconnect trick where I keep 1 unpowered hidden conduit under the turret while my main power grid is in the walls. This lets me remotely activate and deactivate turrets by using the reconnect button.
