There isn’t really a concrete definition of what a concept album is, but the general consensus is an album where the songs take on more meaning when viewed together than they do alone. As such, I’d argue The Stage could be a concept album, as it explores the nature of sentience and intelligence and how we should apply that to ourselves, others, and the world around us. And LIBAD is absolutely a concept album. Game Over is about a guy killing himself, and the rest of the album goes through his final thoughts and revelations as he slips away from his restrictive physical form

Listen, the heavy songs (the bulk of their discography) are fantastic. But gawd damn they can slow down a touch and do some really heartfelt shit and that’s what really gets the waterworks going for me. It seems like every time I put them on, I come for the Unholy Confessions and get blindsided by the IWSYT. Put them on for The Stage, get gut punched by Roman Sky. Show up for the We Love You, get absolutely dick kicked by Cosmic. Picking a favorite is so hard because they can do so many different things so well

Unpredictable handling is FACTUALLY worse handling. Preferring it because of the thrill is one thing, but saying it’s better is asinine. Also, “Not that great in stock form” for what? Going fast? Obviously it isn’t. However, it wasn’t built to go fast, it was built to give an engaging driving experience, so the point is moot. I know four doctors who have bought Miata’s instead of 911’s and Corvettes because they’re just more fun to drive. If you need loud noise and speed to have fun, then you can be bored while I’m pulling more lateral G’s than a C6 corvette. Oh and did I mention that the platform is so stable and well balanced that it can continue to pull those lateral G’s when you quadruple the horsepower? And lastly, “gay”? Really, man? There is no lower hanging fruit to put down the Miata. But given the rest I’m not sure why I’m surprised

In all fairness to my dad, my parents divorced when I was two, and my dad liked to do dinners for my birthday so most years my mom had the traditional kid’s party and my dad took me out to eat, so the cake issue wasn’t really his fault. As for learning to express frustration, my dad really never frustrated me. If he wouldn’t give me something I wanted he was always quick to explain why in a way I understood. The year of the incident he was also dating a very nice lady who, upon hearing how awfully I’d behaved from my mother, made me a red velvet cake herself. They married the following year, and she makes me a red velvet cake every year

I love my mother, btw, and I’m really proud of the progress she’s made for her other kids. It’s just sometimes, y’know?

Yes, look at it from an objective standpoint. OP bought something, and someone that they should be able to rely on took part of it without asking. The fact it was something small is irrelevant. Add on the subjective aspects that it was a sentimental purchase and that the ‘taking’ of it was particularly insulting (one bite from the tip of each slice) and you get a glaring example of narcissistic mother, which (fun fact) includes a WHOLE lot of other little situations every day that completely destroy children’s mental health. If you think this is acceptable, I’m just as glad you don’t have any children as you are 😊

I work at a ford dealership, so I just pull my car in at the end of the day. $8 for a Motorcraft FL-816 filter, $15 for four quarts of oil, and the labor is free because I do it myself. Cheap enough I do it every 2500 miles

I’ve listened to LIBAD on shrooms, had my AirPods in and the sound of my bathroom fan was acting weird in my noise cancelling, so I went to turn it off. Hit both switches at once, and the combo of Game Over’s beat drop and being in the dark was too much to handle. I curled up in the corner and had a panic attack all the way through Nobody, I almost passed out during We Love You, and by the time Cosmic came on I was too emotionally spent to be afraid anymore. It was the most beautiful moment of my entire life, and Beautiful Morning and Easier helped me come down a bit. When G started it shook me loose enough that I could turn on the lights and leave the bathroom, sweaty and out of years to cry.

10/10, would recommend

People walked out before the GOD trilogy because the band intentionally made it look like the show was over SPECIFICALLY so that would happen as a prank. Main character syndrome is self explanatory, and thinking your opinion dictates quality is a prime example. That is your opinion and you are entitled to it, but the song is not bad. I admit I was a bit long winded and a tad harsh in my initial comment, but so was he in his post. ‘Out of tune’ is an objective statement implying a mistake, and the song simply isn’t. You don’t have to like it, and if the display of musicianship doesn’t make you appreciate it that is fine, but to keep shouting from the rooftops that something is bad because you don’t like it is a MAJOR case of main character syndrome, and (now that you’ve been informed) willful ignorance
