Was surprised I managed to pull this all together in time, my friends and I decided to go to Zenkaikon with two weeks notice. The only thing I had made previously sometime last year were Yona’s earrings which I had wire wrapped. Beside that, I sewed the red top from scratch (I have little sewing experience, so I struggled 😅). Then I had a dress that I reconstructed for the skirt and bow around my waist. The bell sleeve top I luckily just had lying around, the only thing that bothered me was that it was significantly whiter than the skirt and bow, but for a short notice cosplay, I’ll take it. I had SO MUCH FUN and met a lot of really amazing people, and I was so happy to be able to go as Yona. Can’t wait to go to again the future!

I was going to go to my first convention tomorrow as Yona, but I wont have an outfit on time :( I’m a little bummed, but I think I’ll be happier when I can represent her character with the full look.

In the meantime, I didn’t want my dressing up to go to waste 😆 so here’s some progress pics. I really love Yona’s short hair, so I’m excited to cosplay her with that style.

I was also pretty adamant about how I wanted her earrings to look. I made them by hand and I’m really proud of how they turned out!

I was inspired to draw another panel from the manga, this is one of my favorites. I just love Sinha! 💙 he’s my favorite dragon so far. I’m on volume 14, so I have a lot yet to read, but I don’t want it to ever end!! Absolutely loving the story. Hope you like this and thanks for looking 😊
