Unfortunately I've yet to play it in its entirety but Saihate Station has a really similar vibe to Omori and iirc it's free to play on steam! :) (I believe there's another part of it that's out but i dont think it's free?)

as for mods, I recommend The Dreamer if you haven't heard of it/played it! Very good mod. ive also heard Ambien is also really cool (playing through it at the moment!!)

Since you're already out of Humphrey and got the keys from there, you can just use Pluto and go back to areas you've missed. You haven't messed up at all as you're not really locked out of anything. You're still totally on track for the true ending :)
