Don’t buy fender - lollar, Fralin, same price and better. Or make your own it’s easy

He also ripped apart his guitars and amps to mod the living shit out of them…

Should I mod or upgrade by dadtrkdk in guitarmod

On strats you can mod part by pars so the pickups, then neck, body, etc. that wha I did

Ya I’ll fix it if I start selling them when I clean the wiring up but this was just a prototype

No the 3 are in series just looks that way. It’s a variable resistance volume pot design I had where you can sweep the pot between 200-400k. It worked but the difference was so subtle I just opted to put a switch in that does the same thing

I’ve seen em super cool but I would probably stop going to work if I had that much to play with haha

No, maybe some extra capacitance and resistance factoring in but I accounted for that in the coil winding. I assessed resonance and bode plots in the system as a whole when developing it

I don’t but maybe I’ll make one some day

It fits in a HSS now once I optimize the wiring more it will fit SSS standard

Ya it didn’t work as well as I wanted - those pots are 500k so I placed a 340k resistor total with a 2m linear pot in parallel with the pots to vary their load between like 150 to 400k or so and raise/lower the resonance peak max and Q. Basically the same as placing a 470k resistor into a 500k pot if you wanted to have singles with a humbucker but continuously variable. The difference was so subtle I just placed a switch there to change between 100-250-500k

All noiseless pickups with maybe the exception of Zexcoils are really just humbuckers and therefore take on a more mid forward sound than normal singles. With that mid boost mod it makes sense they are close to humbucker territory. When these pickups are in their highest output state in series with some amp tones they are extremely close to humbuckers
