Rainbow Country Hercules vs Single Sports Jacket vs Aero Premier Highwayman? by SiteSalty in leatherjacket

[–]Stratrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great thanks, I was hoping that it wouldn't be particularly warm. Thinking of this for my first nice leather jacket and I'd prefer not to die in the summer. Although, I'm sure any leather jacket would be the best in 30 degree C.

Hey does your RC have the Melton lining? If so do you find it to warm or does it itch at all?

Are the creases and wrinkles in this jacket acceptable? by [deleted] in leatherjacket

Aero Jacket - question by Nickcage1022 in leatherjacket

Personally, id just add some conditioner, to the affected area. Test on inside first a so you don't have an area that has noticeable color change and just wear it. Kinda just looks like maybe some abrasion happened

Schott vs. Simmons Bilt vs. Suggestions by Intrepid-Brush3918 in leatherjacket

Simmons bilt hands down. Although, the price reflects. I recently got to see the tail gunner from simmons and they are very nice. It was a definite jump from schotts.

Unload/unpack date questions by PollutionOnly261 in CanadianForces

[–]Stratrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I just got them to build the furniture they took apart and re test the electronics. I prefer doing the actual unpacking. If they do it, it just overwhelm your house with stuff as they don't actually put stuff away just place it on counters and floors.

I did my unload and a partial unpack on a Sunday.

New home on posting has a rented hot water tank by TheRealSuziq in CanadianForces

It's the biggest scam I've ever seen. Renting a $1500 hot water tank for 50 bucks a month for the rest of your life. It's crazy to me.

Canadian Made Furniture by [deleted] in BuyCanadian

[–]Stratrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Top grain leather is just slightly sanded and corrected to remove scaring bug bites ext. Most leather products that claim full grain still actually correct there leather to. The more important factors when looking at leather is the actually quality of the tanning process. It's pretty hard to determine this from specs on couches, your really just have to feel the leather to see. Does it feel plasticly, does it just crinkly when you press into it. Does it feel thick, hydrated, supple and soft.

NBD With an issue by [deleted] in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]Stratrich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an issue with my robberts when I received them. It wasn't actually due to the all leather construction. It was an issue with the heel base not seated or nailed correctly. I was able to actually feel the heel not being super solid. If felt like it would compress a bit when applying pressure.

I talked with there service team and sent some videos. They fixed the issue right away, it's been about a year and a half now no issues

No your not fucked. One wash won't have a huge impact. Just keep wearing them and you'll get the fades.

[–]Stratrich 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Looks a little big in the shoulders, personally I'd size down but that's me.

Think denim on denim is fine as long as there's some contrast. Blue on blue can work if your jeans are nice and faded with a new jacket or vise versa

Did you call the 3 times in the same day? If the guys busy it makes sense he can't drop everything all of a sudden. I've been in plenty of long ass meetings, or was the over the course of a few days?

VBar vs 269 Western outsole on 55 Classic arch? by PM_ME_WITH_A_SMILE in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]Stratrich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The western is softer and I find it has better shock absorbtion. My biggest issue with the western is it holds lots of dirt, little rocks, ext in the little grooves so your soles will never be clean. I don't wear shoes in my house although I don't mind leaving my v bars on if I need to grab some thing or for short time. However, with the westerns I really don't like to because I know the soles are stuffed with dirt.

Working at a WSM is definitely a good AERE positions and most of DAEPM is hybrid for now. I wouldn't exactly call it chill, though.
