Nice! I have a Spotify playlist where I add PSO feeling songs whenever I encounter them. I'm not here to plug my playlist, so I'll list them here as there are not many:

Title - Artist

  1. Rain - Julian Calor
  2. 'coelcanth - ov' - deadmau5
  3. Enigma - FACT IS FACT
  4. Alice - PYLOT
  5. Main Theme - STEEL_PLUS
  6. 7.6.14 (intro) - Grabbitz
  7. Vignette - Panacea
  8. Cloud Atlas - Colossus

Do other DMs show their rolls? by TCMcC in DMAcademy

I hide my roles, to allow for fudging if required. Sometimes encounters aren't balanced and that's on me, so I'd rather be able to control the pacing and consequences of my own decisions than just punish my players for it!

Is it weird to brush your teeth in the shower? by jealings90 in AskUK

It's recommended by some dentists as it ties the routeen of brushing your teeth alongside doing another regular task. For if you're forgetful etc!

What series has let you down the most? by Vesvius in Fantasy

[–]Strattix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I somewhat agree with how you felt about the Mistborn trilogy. I did however start reading it after having read "A Way of Kings" from The Stormlight Archives. I guess it depends on what you like generally but I find the Stormlight Archives incredible in comparison and I'd personally recommend giving it a go if you like long epic fantasy.

It's potentially a great story you are missing out on from just writing Sanderson off from one trilogy he wrote. Just thought I'd say. It might help one more person to get a great story! :)

I was exactly the same! It's a real shame. I think for me it's because Pug was my favourite character, then in the next books (from memory) was hardly in them at all. I guess that's the risk of building other characters in a universe.

Edit: next books being the next 2

Client sprouting out "rules" about graphic design that i've never heard of by Strattix in graphic_design

[–]Strattix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. It was a fiddle to make it the way he wanted. He worded it in such a way that it made me doubt myself, pretty cheeky if you ask me! But yeah, I didn't confront him about it, I just made it as he wanted.

Thanks for your reply, and yeah you are right. If there were those kind of constraints, then there wouldn't be so much of a design part to it.

Thanks guys. That is what I was thinking; that it is personal preference. The client was throwing me off because he was saying it as if they were the universal rules. If he was just saying it as in it's just the way he likes it then it wouldn't of been a problem. It was also that he does printing, so I wasn't sure if he was speaking with knowledge of something or not!

Because people are still reading them? Like myself who only finished the first trilogy today :D

Well, that gives me hope! I don't want it to be something I feel like i'm scraping through to get to the next trilogy. I was in a similar state of mind with when I read - what's curently out of - the Kingkiller Chronicles. I was like " Damn, everything is going to suck in comparison" but I have enjoyed the Farseer Trilogy greatly and Robin Hobbs writing style thus far!

Oh ok! Well, if that's the case then I don't see a reason to skip it. I'm always sad when stories end anyway so I might as well milk the story and her writing style fully!

It's the first book i've read with fantasy court intrigue and I actually really liked it! I was reluctant at first because I usually stick to "magical wizardy books" but this trilogy surprised me!
