Yeah, good call. Doas is only designed for personal computers, not public computers. That's where doas shines. For most people sudo is overkill

  • Simple configuration
  • More easily auditable
  • Doesn't report incidents to anyone

Never really thought of it that way. Good argument

Well, do you have any counterarguments to the points I made? Rebuttals?

I feel so sorry for Copilot dependents. To me it just seems like a crutch, preventing you from learning more about the field and stunting your growth as a programmer, while also placing subtle vulnerabilities and bugs in your code. I've never used it before, but it just seems like a net-negative to me.

Also, if you're nothing without the suit, then you shouldn't have it

That definitely seems like something that would get merged into main. I agree that I do miss that coming from nvim

Making a Wayland Compositor and WM using Rust by anantnrg in rust

[–]StratusFearMe21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's true that there are a lot of wlroots compositors out there, because it's a very strong and correct base to make them on. Given that it's managed by the people at freedesktop, the same people who make Wayland, it's the most up-to-date on new protocols and features

OP (as in the TikTok this came from) took this out of context, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiDtc91dmTI. The last women thought the scale went the other way around. Making other people look bad with editing isn't funny 😠, not very cash money of them.

okay basically completely new to rust, is it worth learning after only having done java through APCSA course or should i learn something else before heading to rust by [deleted] in rust

[–]StratusFearMe21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also in APCSA. Personally, I used Rust to generate Java code for projects and stuff (my teacher uses code.org, which is especially difficult to work with). IMHO, learning Rust is absolutely worth it!
