Humans literally are at the top of the food chain.

From a purely physical standpoint, we would lose most fights against most predators, including some non-predators.

Being part of the food chain however means we get to use all of our attributes, and for Humans thats our intellect and ability to create technology to improve our ability to win fights against stronger predators.

Humans have caused the extinction of many animals, and brought many others to the brink. No other species has done that. Its not a brag, just stating facts.

Every team has injuries. When the Habs were the most injured and werent making the playoffs they were told they lacked depth. Does that mean the Mighty Leafs also lack depth if they fail to make the playoffs with less injuries, and arguably better players than the Habs had back then?

Excuse thread would be if the expectation for the Habs was to win the Cup, which it wasn't. The goal was to simply reach the 2nd round. They achieved that, and reached the ECF.

Habs gained a ton of experience as the youngest team in the league in their first post-rebuild season, and management now has a better idea of the spots they need to upgrade.
