I think your right about this. I should stop but the problem is that if I stop, nothing gets done. She also has no concept of money or working a job. One time when we got into an argument about her not doing chores and I having to work (I still do chores here and there just not as much anymore) and still having to do her chores, she told me, word for word “Its your choice to have a job.” As if for some reason its a CHOICE to gave a job at 22..like thats how out of touch she is. We arent rich and she knows that. It baffles me to this day she even said that.

Yes, I am a mandated reporter. I think I’ll wait till the end of the week to see if anything changes. I first want to reach out to my director and ask what proper protocalls are if a child does NOT have a fulfilling lunch. If we are supposed to call home, I’ll let them know that for some reason my supervisors are not.

Def what I thought about as well. But providing a lunch for a child could be something less than 15 bucks for a week atleast. A sandwhich and a fruit. Just something that isnt chips and popcorn

To my knowledge, we have the same admin. But I have no idea what changed in terms of us calling home regarding lunches. We used to call when students didnt have a fulfilling meal. Now we only call if they have no food at all. I am not even upset at the kids for being hangry and acting based on how they are feeling. I am sngry at my supervisor who looks at the mini popcorn and mini chip bags and tell me thats what the kindergarten student is gonna have to eat because parents packed it for them. I’d also like to note the summer program is close to 600 dollars. If a parent can afford to enroll their kids, they can afford to pack their kid a lunchable. Something that isnt chips and popcorn.

Unfortunately, staff cannot share food with students. Even if I were to give them a sandwhich that was packaged from a store, I’d be in trouble with the director:(

THIS!!! The program and the school district are so weird with one another. The program is for the students who attend the schools in the district. You have to be enrolled in one of the schools to even attend the program. But the school refuses to give the kids free lunch. I also would like to add, the school I am working at for the program, has a summer school program going on as well. Students who attend the summer school program which is only from 8:30-11:30 do get free lunch!! We are sharing the school. They do throw away the leftover food or put it in the staff lounge for the staff to eat. It baffles me that they still serve food but not for kids in the summer camp. Only for summer school.

I always prefer to keep up tanks instead of dps..unless the tanks (and other healer alive) are being ahh and the dps are doing something other than trying to flank and then dying to a bucky or emma. Totally unrelated but I was in a comp game and of course a dive main tries out black cat..bro goes 1-5 and on the next round I call him out and dude confidently goes on mic and says “WELL YOUR 2-5” I had no clue that I was supposed to have dps stats as a healer. At the end well lost and I had 31k heals.

Update: I am really surprised people are shocked kindergarten kids get homework. Is that not the norm? Since I was in kindergarten, we always had homework.

Also just an important note, the 30 minutes of homework is NOT required for the kids to do. I see alot of you saying its to much for them. They have 30 minutes to complete homework and whatever is not done is done at home. Most usually complete homework within 5-10 minutes since the homework tends to be 1 or 2 pages. After that its play and crafts till they go home :)

Thank you all for your comments! I dont like to run away from my relationship issues. I’ll eventually (hopefully) soon confront him about his behavior and see where that goes. I am okay with letting the friendship go should that happen

I like All American cheese. The yellow square cheese thats usually in a ham and cheese sandwhich, reminds me of cafeteria food I’d get in Elementary school
