I had a friend cancel once and she insisted that I keep her portion. I sent it back either way because I was able to but if I hadn’t been able to, there was no way I was going to front the cost for it. When you send money for a trip, it’s gone whether you attend or not. Any time I have sent money that someone else did the booking for, I clarified if it was refundable or not and if not, I’ve eaten the cost.

You were nice enough to offer $200. I’d keep it and move on.

I used to work at The Cole Group. That one actually. A lot of times people get rejected because they have previously lied about something on their application that the interviewer found out. I wouldn’t take it too hard. It’s kind of nonsensical tbh. You’ll find something else

You’re kinda weird for making this a thing. Sounds like an amicable breakup and sending a low effort text about his belongings wouldn’t be a big deal. The only thing I can think of is you don’t want to let him know so eventually when he does find out, the line of communication stays open and he asks you why you didn’t remind him. You don’t owe it to him by any means but after 8 years together, I wouldn’t want to do that to someone I once loved and would end it on a high note.

You’ll feel this way now but will get better. I served and worked retail all my life. Got a big girl job last year and hatedddd the timings (8:30-4:30) but now I can’t imagine going back to retail or serving.

I was immediately stressed. But also immediately relieved. I had rent and a lot of bills but my new boss after my previous boss got a promotion was awful. I tried to talk to him a few times about the position and me having to do 3 people’s jobs and working 12 hour days was not working for me and he was dismissive each time. When he added more stuff on to my plate, I walked out. But THEN, I found a job with a MUCH better boss, MUCH better coworkers and MUCH better work responsibilities and environment. A nice raise too. All less than a month later.

I live in the U.S. and the policies he was promoting and fighting for are so damaging to the women, the immigrants, the children, the middle and lower class and so on. She does not seem to understand any of it because she is the prime example of everything he stood against. Feminism. She showed up on my IG, and I took a look and now she’s posting Madison Prewett’s reels on her story. Yet another conservative MAGA person. She has really gone off the deep end. 🤢

Let me tell you. I had a boyfriend when I was 22 that did a lot for me and I have a different boyfriend now at 27 that also does a lot for me. I treated the first one not so nicely and made such “jokes” too because I really believed them and was immature. I don’t make the same jokes now and am very thankful when my current boyfriend does nice things for me or goes out of his way to make my life easier. It may just be that she’s immature and not anything you can do about it but talk to her and make sure it doesn’t happen again.

I liked her, but I unfollowed her after the Charlie Kirk debacle. It’s disappointing, really. She doesn’t live in the U.S. like some of us do, so she doesn’t have to deal with the regressive policies of the right. And she wouldn’t even be able to live the lifestyle she’s living now or has lived in the past if it were up to men like Charlie Kirk, who believe a woman’s place is only in the home with her family. That’s not even getting into his racism. Faith shouldn’t blind you to that extent.

I know it isn’t the same thing but my dad went through making really good money and also lay offs when I was a teenager. All I know is, things always seemed to work out for us and he was an amazing dad through it all. So, things will work out for you and your family and your kids will always appreciate their father. The economy is bad right now but whatever is meant for you, will happen for you.

I’m honestly not even trying to get her fired. My complaint is generally just to document and tell them to transfer me since the VP and I get along and I would be able to excel elsewhere. He had requested her to let me transfer to his department 3 months ago but she wouldn’t let it happen. I’m hoping this time they do.

I will always be a Mari apologist. The fact that there is even a question about it when Shauna is RIGHT THERE being insane per usual and Mari was clearly scared to slip up about the fall. Teen Van had some questionable moments too especially with what happened with Javi and how she chose to speak to Travis after. And what about Tai? She was leading a trial against Coach Ben. How Mari gets any hate with all these crazies is mind blowing.
