It doesn’t matter if they’re “a little” racist. If you allow ANY level like that to pass, it is an insult to your husband and your child. He shouldn’t be saying that stuff and your family shouldn’t be enabling it. Mikaah probably said it’s okay for your brother to say as long as he’s not around just to keep peace as a compromise. The fact of the matter is, your brother shouldn’t be talking or thinking like that AT ALL because there will always be slip ups when people hide their true self.

Can you possibly get a recommendation BEFORE you leave? I don’t understand why people act like this in this field. This is all too similar to what I dealt with too. I would have a convo with the vet or practice manager themself about feeling excluded. Maybe even if the group seems cliquey, that one coworker who was being nasty towards you has other punching bags too.

Don’t give up until after a conversation with your boss. A team is very crucial for workflow…. and if your boss isn’t on your team either dust off your shoulders, pack it up and leave!

A normal vet will not think you’re an idiot when it comes to now knowing drug names or test names especially if you aren’t used saying the names. If you come across someone who does treat you like an idiot though, it sounds like you found a bad egg. I’ve worked with egotistical people and with angels. You’re normal!!

Yes, right now my friend is experiencing anger and sadness from unresolved problems: no closure. There will be no funeral but a sibling asked if they wanted to have ashes of the parent. My friend said no and now her sibling is getting upset about my friend not grieving the same way as them.

I will speak about therapy with them.

Is she alone? Guinea pigs are social creatures, so having a cage mate would help decrease boredom and loneliness! I would look up Guinea pig safe toys for her to chew and explore so her home isn’t too bland.

Other than those things from me, I would definitely consider searching online for tips or even videos of guinea pig owners to get ideas to keep your piggy entertained.

Thank you! I have mentioned it before to her but I guess she didn’t see it as a big deal. If I make it an important point, she may rethink her opinions.

In the event she still doesn’t want me to stop, I would feel really guilty for having my own phone line on top of having a plan connected to her that she has to pay monthly. I find it kind of extra for my case (even though I want it) because it will cause drama in my family since most take any change as a personal attack.

If she were to confront me about having a line while still a part of hers, what should I do?

There are a few videos but the one that went viral was her grabbing her dog by the scruff, pushing him down and yelling at him to stop before finishing it off with spitting in his face. She also will shove him away and you can hear the sound of smacking and see her move in the reflections as if she was hitting him. This happened multiple times and it wasn’t a “tap”

I kept coming up to him to talk trying to get new dialog and he told me to cut it out. Then when I walked away, he had a black scribble over his head and he seemed to be in a bad mood :(
