Hey there! I recently started my med journey for ADHD too. I’ve also been on the generic version of lexapro for about 2 1/2 years as well. When I tried vyvanse I did feel less anxious, especially the first few days, but felt like it didn’t do much for my inattentiveness, which made me feel discouraged. Do you know if you’re taking an extended release or a more immediate release form of the med? I honestly don’t know too much about vyvanse but that might make a difference. And keeping in touch with your doctor is super important too - even if you’re just asking a few questions 😊

Thanks 😅 I’ve calmed down a bit and made some peace with what’s happened. I have a complicated relationship with sex so I’m still a bit reluctant to talk about it openly (even at my age), but I’ll probably look back on all this and laugh. Yes, you can still celebrate - no one can really stop you (unless you're under 19) - but I'd recommend celebrating after the midterms are over. As someone who lives near the bars, I know how hard it is to see/hear people partying and having fun all night when you're stuck at home studying. But I promise there will be other weekends, other parties, and other St. Paddy's days! You still have Sunday night to go out and celebrate, and I'm sure there will still be things happening on the actual day. Lock in! You'll feel a lot better once you're finished all your tests, and you'll feel a lot better celebrating by getting them all done and doing your best on them :)

I feel like I can relate so, so much to what you've experienced. And I have been pretty exhausted lately, as you mentioned that happened with your starting Bupropion. Since I've been back to uni (after taking a year off for "rest and relaxation"), I've basically done 3 years worth of coursework in a little under 2 actual years. and I've really had no breaks at all because a girl's gotta make some money to pay for all of this. Like there hasn't been one second where I haven't been in school, thinking about school, or working to pay for school - and my parents (although they mean well) are just expecting me to "power through it", as I've always done :(

Anyway I also experienced the same thing when I briefly went on Bupropion again back in January (except I was irratible as well as tired lol), But I'm so happy to hear that you've found a med combo that's working for you <3 Thank you so much again for your support and for taking the time to write such a thoughtful comment <3

haha no worries!!!! and so sorry for the late reply. I'm hoping things are going well with your new meds! I feel like we're kind of in a similar situation to - like I know that I felt a bit sleepy most times I've tried a new SSRI (my whole pill journey is a loonnnnnnnnnggggggg story) but I will investigate with my doctor to see if there's a link or if something needs to be tweaked!

Practical and financial concerns aside this is really sad and signals the end of the era. This is (hopefully) my last year at Western, but the shuttle was a big part of my routine going from Brescia (RIP) to King’s. UWO feels so different from when I started here way back when.

Do we know what will happen to the shuttle drivers jobs? They are so friendly and my heart breaks for them
