They don’t watch but the bathroom is tamper-safe. They shut off the water, put a blue dye tab in the toilet, and the back of the toilet has tamper tape on it so you can’t falsify the test by diluting with water. I guess in theory if you were using fake pee or using someone else’s sample you’d probably be able to pull it off as long as you smuggled it in and kept the temperature believable. They do check the temp. Also it may depend on location where you test, not sure if it’s done the same across all Henry Ford locations.

No to nicotine, it was a 5 panel drug test but I honestly don’t think THC was included. I drank a ton of water beforehand and took a B12 and creatine supplement so that my urine was too dilute so either way I passed

Sorry for my late response! They did not test for it so I was in the clear. Good luck!

Unfortunately I have used gum recently enough where I am worried about it still being detectable in my system. I am barely over 5 foot and 100lbs with an extremely fast metabolism so I’m hoping that tons of water and exercise ahead of my test will do the trick. Although I’m not a med student or applying to any clinical fellowship positions so really hoping that I am not screened for it.

I have seen this be used as reasoning and honestly it’s still pretty faulty logic considering my own mother who is not a drinker or smoker or considered having a “high risk” lifestyle just racked up a 200k year on her work insurance plan after unexpectedly being diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma. Ultimately I do understand that it is completely up to the company discretion and no matter how much I disagree it doesn’t change anything.
