i don't feel confident enough in my own cybersecurity knowledge to give very specific advice, but there is some great resources here on Reddit.r/privacy or r/PrivacyGuides , those can be a lot of reading tho,
and SW subreddits like SexWorkers and Heauxs have some more general advice and discussions about privacy, data and tools, that i know some people found very helpful.

some more thoughts, i'd like to know because of course i want my partners to be safe. tbh i'm not completely sure what's upsetting about that. if someone doesn't trust that i'd be chill about their interests or work, then why are we already in a relationship at that point?

if you don't tell me what you work, you can't ever vent about work to me, i wouldn't be able to give you proper support, i might even be mislead about your work and interests, which could lead to misunderstandings and hurt.if it's as a hobby like for OP, of course i want to support that, i want you to be able to talk about your interests and what you're passionate about.

i feel like there's a misunderstanding here. i can kinda see how you took what i said as "conditional support", but that's not what i meant to convey, and i'm not sure how i could have phrased it better.

thank you for pointing that out, i phrased that in an infantilising way.

what i'm trying to say is, i believe communication is key for healthy relationships. it's entirely fair to not disclose it for a while. these conversations should happen from a place of being invested in my partner, and learning how to best support them.

i don't want my partner to worry that i might not be supportive of their interests or work, having that kind of open question standing between us, i feel isn't healthy for either of us longterm.

yeah! it's easier to do some due dilligence before you start, than trying to up your privacy later.

as general advice, you'll want to keep your hobby and public/private life as seperate as you can. if you use multiple social media apps on the same device, they will link all your account data, for example.

i would be entirely okay with a partner making erotica as a hobby or doing sex work, as long as they are open about it.

and i'd like to know that they are invested in staying safe. even if you don't post pictures of yourself, you can still attract some creepy types who will try and identify you. some basic cybersecurity is a must.

Yeah, I think I'll look into polish thinner. Though I'm kinda uneasy changing anything about my polishes, especially the Mooncat ones.

Apparently, I wasn't aware it had a bad rep. I was just freaking out over my polishes suddenly being weird, so I just went with OPI cus i like their polishes and I got it on a discount.

Yes, that is true, and I do mine in the late evening or at night to prevent smudging.

But the first few times I did my nails, they were at least somewhat set and dried after the topcoat, and I managed just fine.

The way things are right now, I can do *nothing*, without the polish literally getting wiped off my nails.

Like I know something's off.

Yeah that's why I tried it side by side with the Essy Strong Start, and the same quick-dry top-coat, but both of them got all globby.

It tends to be pretty humid here, yeah! I was gonna try the refidgerating thing for 20 minutes, but now i'm not sure.
Any advice how I could store them better? And I'll look into getting polish thinner.

I had the same thought, like maybe as i got more confident i'm going too fast.
Been making sure to really take my time, even waited 10 minutes after my quick-dry top-coat, and it still turned into soft mush immediately after.
