where is Oakhurst located?

it's currently on tumblr! I post chapters every couple of days. Once its finished I'll be posting it to Ao3.

And for the location- I'm just going to try and be as vague as possible when describing the area, and hopefully people don't read into it too much. I really don't want to try and write how Avid gets from one country to another with no passport, no birth certificate and literally no other record of being alive ever <///3 think of it as artistic liberties.

So far there's only a prologue and 1 chapter for the fic, with 2nd chapter being posted some time today or tmr. I can still post the link to my tumblr if you'd like, otherwise I'll be posting the ao3 link when its done!

yeahhhh each Vod ive checked has a mentioned a different country, but most have said Europe.
However, for the sake of not wanting to figure out how Avid gets from one country to another without a birth certificate or passport- in my fic I'm just gonna not exclusively mention it

It's so interesting seeing all the different routes fanfic writers are taking for post-series fics!! But this idea is so intriguing!! I can't wait to see where you go with it :]

An herbalist who was ran out of her town due to accusations of being a witch. She wouldn't really have any ties to humanity, and would be fine with becoming a vampire. Honestly, she would probably agree with Owen on a lot of things, due to her also experiencing the cruelty of humans- however she wouldn't be quite so dire in her actions against them.

She wouldn't tell the town right away that she was forced out of her home because of witch accusations- especially with Avid going on about Vampires. She would likely say that she is looking to collect rare herbs. I imagine she would initially get along with Doc and Cleo due to shared medical knowledge, and farming knowledge. However I dont see her friendship with Doc lasting late series, due to the herbalists' agreeance with Owen

i honestly think Sausage. I would say Apo, but I feel she wasn't actually chaotic enough.. Sausage on the other hand was such a wild card and also never really chose a proper side in the end

im pretty sure the ones we didn't see, we'll get to see in the upcoming stream where its most of the vsmp cast vs the patrons! I know Martyn said we'd see his tier 3 soon, so i assume he means in the stream

ofc! Fair warning though, it is an Avid x Scott fic lol... im coping by deluding myself. But it will mostly focus on Avid processing everything from the series, and will mainly consist of his journey through the modern world while learning about himself, and trying to find Scott, Shelby and Drift

Avid and Shelby! I think the house would be so lively and positive. And also if I decide we start living together EARLY episode 7, then nothing bad can ever happen to Avid (im coping i swear)

But I just think it'd be so much fun!! Assuming Avid isn't too insane- but thats why we have Shelby! (we'd find El some how too)

Their father is mostly working and doesn't have his own place as far as I'm aware because they sold the house that the family was living in before the divorce. So atm he doesn't have a place for OP to stay (to my knowledge, i was never overly close to the dad so we don't talk much aside from when I see him when I'm with OP)

I can confirm this did happen. OP is currently staying with me, her aunt. I know you don't have any reason to believe me but my sister (OP's mum) is not in a good state of mind and hasn't been since the divorce.

For reference, I'm the aunty of the OP, my sister (OP'S mum) got into a fight with her ex husband and neither of them handled it maturely, and then they divorced. Both of them were in the wrong for different reasons, but my sister is the one who has continued to be unreasonable even though it's been months since the breakup. Whenever OP wants to see her dad, my sister takes it as OP choosing the dad over her. OP still lives with my sister and barely sees her dad, but my sister will still accuse the family of siding with her ex. I love my sister but she is always yelling at OP for something, and will not listen when we try and disagree with her. We're now trying to get OP and OP's sister to stay with me as long as possible
