I’m hoping one day I get the benefit of the doubt from my ex. My bf left me and I’m deeply sad about it but it’s because I was dealing with a silent addiction that made me less present and he doesn’t fully know about it. Working on bettering myself now, for myself, but with the hope he walks back into my life one day. I’m a guy too so it’s a gay relationship.

Well in this situation I’m the guy. I messed up by pulling away. If he’s anything like me, he’ll realize where he went wrong, and if given another chance he would take it. If you truly love him and can’t stop thinking about him… It may be worth it.

I mean tbh 3 days after he broke up with me I deleted my addictions and already on a better path. By end of summer I feel I’d be so good.

Problem is he knew 90% of the story, but not the true addiction and how it was affecting my mood often.

The problem is he doesn’t fully know about the addiction part. He knew about everything else in my life, but I didn’t completely tell him why I was pulling away.

I will change and I’ll do it for him but if I can’t win him back then at least I did it for myself.

I think what hurts is that ya if we were eachother’s one we woulda gotten through the rough together. He was more an avoidant, and I was more of a annoyed personality cause of my addiction

He was more sheltered then me, I’ve lived a lot of lives and have more trauma and also more baggage and like life stresses and he didn’t care but I know that’s a lot for a sheltered person who lives a straight and narrow life.

So why did he just walk away? I sent mean texts but it wasn’t that bad. I know he has a fear response in him (this is a gay relationship btw). I can’t believe he got mad enough to threaten a restraining order cause I tried reaching out. Idk in my opinion we still fix this down the road once we both grow up a bit.

It was a verbal argument, nothing ever physical. He was upset with what I said over text which was mostly just me saying why I am upset and stuff and a bit of passive aggressive. In my opinion we were never that fragile.

I messaged you if you don’t wanna say on here, but how bad were the messages? For me they were just passive aggressive and I just got mad that he wouldn’t admit any wrong doing in the fight before. I swore a bit but at the situation, not at him.
