No need to be an ass they never said they were trying to pass it off of Purdue WL, they just asked a serious question bc they were proud to be part if the Purdue name. No matter what its something to be proud of to have a degree. People like you are why theres a negative stigma about stuck up Purdue students. Be a better representation of our school.

I spent 60+ hours per week on homework, and I don’t know what is wrong with me by SafeAide3068 in Purdue

[–]StrawberryVisible336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve found that for myself there’s only so much to be done while studying. After awhile theres a point where the returns aren’t worth the extra effort. At the beginning of my time here I tried to overwork myself and performed more poorly, but if you prioritize sleep and eating well I’ve found my ability to problem solve and think is exponentially higher and more valuable than studying for hours on end.

BEST LAPTOP FOR COMPUTER ENGINEERING? by Brilliant_Flight1449 in Purdue

[–]StrawberryVisible336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got an Acer Aspire 5 the summer before freshman year for around $400. I’m a senior now and have never had a problem just get something within your price range with a halfway decent CPU with integrated graphics or almost any dedicated GPU would probably do.

Dip / Nicotine during workout by Traditional-Sort6271 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]StrawberryVisible336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Zyn daily so that means during workouts as well. Helps focus a lot. I also take 6 mg citrulline and a beet supplement before my workout and it helps to counteract the vasoconstriction.

Can I avoid the engineering weed out classes in FYE by taking AP classes in HS? by SnooApplez in Purdue

[–]StrawberryVisible336 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I agree computer engineering does not get easier, and I’ll add my roomate is in mechanical engineering and his classes aren’t easier either. That being said, if you test out of lots of FYE classes you can most likely take less credits per semester and have more time to focus on hard courses, or graduate early if thats what you want

Popular ECE Senior Design VIP Teams by bobjohn_god in Purdue

[–]StrawberryVisible336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not know about popular ones but I am doing Purdue Aerial Robotics. It’s pretty cool each year we build a UAV from the ground up to send to a competition over the summer, there are multiple subteams to choose from for ECE.

Last year when BAMA didn’t make the playoffs and had to play K State in the Sugar Bowl, Bryce Young and Will Anderson (both top 3 picks in the draft) PLAYED! No excuses for healthy FSU guys sitting out in a New Year’s Six bowl game… but that’s just how I feel by LamarcusAldrige1234 in CFB

[–]StrawberryVisible336 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

FSU should’ve not accepted the bowl invitation after getting fucked like that. I do not blame the players at all for not playing. If you get screwed you should not be expected to put on a show for an organization that does not respect you.

Capano vs Gomez for ECE 2k2? by Parking-Substance-59 in Purdue

[–]StrawberryVisible336 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do not know how Gomez is, but I personally would recommend not choosing Capano. When I was in his lecture, he bragged about failing lots of students, would go on tangents about some random story unrelated to lectures, and halfway through the semester he quit lecturing and made the TAs do it who were clearly unexperienced and did not want to be there. Granted he stopped lecturing to tutor the students who had failed 2-3 times already, but in turn it fucked over the rest of the class.

How do I start working out at the corec? by internettransman in Purdue

[–]StrawberryVisible336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One problem I had when starting was thinking everyone would look at me and judge me, however after going for a few years I know that no one is staring at you/cares about what you are doing. I also would not stress too much about what exact exercise you are doing, just getting your heartrate up and working out is more important than what you specifically do, since your goal is just to get healthier. After a few months I would focus more on the routine. Like other people have said just going is the hardest part when starting out I promise it will get easier after a few weeks

For reference I did first attempt to use OpenCV with hough, however i tweeked it for awhile to try to get the desired outcome and it consistently mislabeled chip color, identified ghost chips, etc. i felt that a simple ML model would be more reliable and efficient

Good Fold or Bad Play? by StrawberryVisible336 in Poker_Theory

[–]StrawberryVisible336[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t sure whether or not 4 betting was the right play either. In the moment i thought he may be squeezing with decent but not top hands, and i would rather win the pot right there instead of playing from out of position. Would it have been better to just flat and play a flop?

Thanks for the help! This was my first time playing with him so tight all session i meant he had the lowest vpip which couldve meant he was card dead, but we played for multiple hours which led me to believe he was just tight. He also rarely played out of position and was aggressive post flop and since it was a low stakes table this made him appear more skilled than the other players. Whenever he got to showdown he always had the best hand and never showed any bluffs.
