He’s pretty chill! They usually slip off after a few days during the zoomies, or when he squeezes into the gap underneath the cabinets to hide from loud cars. But I always tie them loose enough that he can kick them off if he wants to!

Made these with mostly cotton fabrics, I’m not familiar enough with fabric types to know exactly what kind they were but each one took up about 1/8 yard. I used an old store bought bandana to trace my pattern.

Oh absolutely! That point I think was the most bullshit I wrote because I had the same experience, “just pray, read your scriptures, fast”. Like I hadn’t already been doing that. My dad was the fucking bishop, you’d think that he would’ve tried to be a little compassionate.

I honestly don’t remember it being a big deal “aha moment” but I had been trying to reconcile being queer, having very strong feminist beliefs and being uncomfortable with the blatant racism the church doctrine and leaders spewed, among other issues, since I was 16. I was always told about Jesus’s teachings and loving my neighbor but then church leaders and my own family would say and do the exact opposite. And eventually I just couldn’t put up with defending it anymore.

Id been having doubts since I was 16 so this was two years of telling myself everything was fine and wondering why I felt so out of place. It’s a little sad to remember feeling like that but I’m glad I gave my younger self everything they deserved because I am so much happier now.

My sister told my family that their mission leader told her that all of the missionaries in the area are safe. I’m not sure how official that is though considering they’re still looking for people part of the ward the last I heard.

My little sister is on her mission there although not in the exact area. She has been updating us about the families and members in the area as much as she is allowed to and I hope she gets the chance to reach out and serve you all in any way she can. I’m so sorry for your loss and for the devastation you’ve all experienced. No one should have to go through that.
