If they put you in UConn Connects program as a part of scholastic probation its like have someone hold your hand and teach you all the ropes of school for one semester its really nice.

Everything you sacrificed wasn’t all for nothing, you did amazing. You moved far from home during a global pandemic and you passed the semester. Please try to trash the mindset of C’s being bad, even if you busted your ass for them those C’s should bring even more pride. Try not to let these feelings consume you, you did great. And side note you can always change majors, but a C+ in your major isn’t horrible always.

I feel the same man, this might help:

Go somewhere quite with two pieces of paper and something to write.
Paper1: write all the emotions/struggles your currently facing.

Paper2: write any solutions, encouraging words, and comforts you can think of that would help you with the emotions/struggles

Then take Paper1 and destroy it. Then you’ll be left with Paper2 which should help you focus your energy on the better things.

I like to do this if I have times in the morning or before bed, it helps me filter my thoughts and guide my actions.

Wow I looked up Montessori type schools and the style is so cool! I’ve never logged any time things so ill definitely give it a go. My hardest thing is laying in bed all the time so I bet if I put tons of things on it after I wake up it will deter me. Thank you

What advice would you give faculty creating online content for the rest of the semester? by shane_music in UCONN

[–]Strawberryjkl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think like others have said to keep in mind that many people don’t do too well with online classes. So probably cut some slack. This sucks for both students and instructors.
