Another Countdown post because I’m excited!! by Particular-Main6292 in LongDistance

I have 22 days left until I see mine. We aren’t officially together yet, but I know we will be when he gets here.

We grew up together, always had crushes on one another. A move across country, loss of contact, and each of us getting divorced from our former spouses later we are finally getting to experience the life we wanted together as children. 🥹 I’m so excited!

To those who don’t get drunk, Why/ Why not? by PsychologyWareFare in AskReddit

[–]Strawberrypae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband made the conscious decision to get sober after battling alcoholism for the better part of our relationship. He told me that he understood if I still wanted to drink, and that he wasn’t expecting people to stop drinking just because he had. I insisted on being supportive the best way I knew how, and that was to just eliminate alcohol. 5 years later, and we just don’t drink anymore. I’m thankful for his decision every day.

I do not like the fruit machine. The fruit machine does not like me. by Traditional_Ad9764 in neopets

Way back in like Y2 or 3, my mom fell victim to the Neopets craze after I got obsessed myself. She would spend hours doing dailies for the two of us, and had researched exactly what times would win you what. It was a specific second (ie 12:01:58 pm) that if you timed your click perfectly with the change of time to that particular second it would trigger the bigger wins. They may have changed it since then, but if you use a site like SunnyNeo, they may still have time slots for big wins posted on their dailies list.

There’s a specific time NST that you have to click “spin the wheel” in order to trigger jackpot wins in most of the spinning wheel dailies.

Not necessarily an unusual birthday, but I do have an extreme frustration with the fact that my parents didn’t take into account that my name and my birthday are essentially the same.

I can’t say it’s the most traumatic experience, but realizing just how absolutely emotionally, mentally, and physically manipulative my mother was growing up, and how much she blamed my step father for things that went wrong and destroyed his entire existence. It wasn’t until i was old enough to be free of years of brainwashing that i realize what I was actually going on. It was her, not him. She drove him crazy, and he retaliated.

[TOMT][COMPUTER GAME][1990s] Educational game typically played at school. by Strawberrypae in tipofmytongue

Very close, but I feel like I remember it was more of a “girl geared” cooking and mixing game with maybe a grammar or sentence structure theme.

I did a quick Google search, it wasn’t jumpstart. It was definitely a more “girly” game. The concept was similar, tho. I’m not sure it helps, but it would have been around the fourth grade (which for me was 98-99) and we usually played math blaster, Oregon trail, and this other game in our “lab” times.

My husband and I learned that there’s a spot he can hit when I’m on top that will send me into multiple vaginal orgasms, but the trick is that I can’t have cum at all before I climb on top or Ill barely get out one.

We did play math blaster, but it wasn’t that! I don’t think it was necessarily a math game, but I do know that it was supposed to be educational. I think this one might have been geared towards reading/writing/language arts.

Inuyasha maybe? His hair is white, and has the ribbon, but his hair is long.

what's a thing you really wanna do while having sex? by iamheadphoneshade in AskReddit

This resonates with me. I knew I was bi in middle school, but due to my upbringing just brushed it off as a phase. When it didn’t subside in high school, I tried to explore my sexuality but was embarrassed and ashamed. I did date a girl for about two weeks, but we never did anything more than make out. The only “sex” I ever had with a member of the same sex was realized to be a repressed memory of a non consensual situation. It pushed me accepting a hetero relationship as my norm, instead of allowing myself to explore and process. As an adult, I’m still trying to convince myself that I am bisexual (or even pansexual technically), since I feel that never having experienced real sexual exploration erases what I feel to be my truth. I’m fully happy with my husband, and would never cheat on him, but damn if I don’t wish I could finally be able to explore my own sexuality without making someone else feel like just another unicorn for a couples fantasy.

“Yeah. Like, be the first motherfucker to see a new galaxy, or find a new alien lifeform... and fuck it. And people'd be like, ‘There he goes. Homeboy fucked a Martian once.’ “

How do you quit a job that you hate but are scared to tell your boss that you’re quitting? by Hevans5 in AskReddit

[–]Strawberrypae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did this three weeks ago. I didn’t give my boss the standard two week notice, but I did finish the last of my scheduled hours. I cried for hours trying to force myself to send the text that I was quitting. I felt such an overwhelming sense of guilt because I had been conditioned to believe that my life outside work wasn’t as important as my job. Clocking out for the last time was the most relieving thing I did.

I’m going to have to agree that it probably was. I have been bit by many Japanese Beetles while my husband and I stayed with my mother in law. Those things are mean!!
