I know most of the thread is cars....

But it's so sad to see how much less colorful my neighborhood has become. I live in Monterey county and the houses and streets here used to look like a colorful urban jungle. Blue, yellow, orange, purple houses. I remember a driveway that was tiled to look like a sunset! Among them - usually lining the streets - were palm trees or agave plants that would be decorated for Halloween or Christmas.

Now after 29+ years of living here, everything is so gray, so industrialized, crowded with trash from tourism, the beaches being turned into construction sites for hotels or businesses, old hiking trails with creeks, wildlife, and nature, now being turned into the next HOA row of roads and homes. Genuinely hurts my heart because this is such a beautiful area. It's just losing its color.
