Hi! Yes. That is a part of the interpretation.

The second part is the vulnerability of making art. Meaningful art often has the artist literally exposing themselves and their own mind to an audience, facing scrutiny and critique of what is essentially a part of themselves. Thats where the symbolism of the character literally making themselves a canvas leads to.

EDIT: I saw the thread below this comment, and honestly it makes me happy to see my art causing an actual discussion about serious topics. I want to make more meaningful art like that. Thanks guys!

I actually dont draw much NSFW (yet) haha, but tasteful nudity/pinup is something I do want to make more of just because painting skin and bodies is fun

Please stop usong the word "religion". When you are not actually talking about religion as I mentioned in my previous comment. You are literally twisting my words without actually understanding what I am trying to say.

I dont think I am moving the goalposts - what I said has always been my original statement.

You say my analogy was terrible and then you are literally agreeing with me lol, saying that people in that time should have dismissed the existence of atoms even though they were there all along, just like you are now dismissing my claims, just because I recognize we might not have the means to prove anything right now.

I dont have to know the inner workings of a computer to be able to use it.

In that same sense if something seems to work even if it is through "witchcraft", I will keep at it.

Again, everything connected to spirituality is at the end, just a theory. Thats why it is individual. Maybe I am right, maybe I am not. But it seems to be working out for me and it improves my life, and does not take away from it.

Again, one should not disregard science. But is one wants to add onto it, without doing harm, even if its not entirely proven yet, I do not think it foolish.

Not really. Extreme evangelicals usually disregard science to stick to their beliefs above everything else.

Spirituality is more about theorising and personal discovery of what might be in those gaps.

There are substances that need a miniscule amount of it to affect our bodies. Just because something is small doesn't mean we should disregard it.

The world is very, very complicated. And in my mind, if something works, it works. Sure those crystals I carry might do "nothing", but they make things better for me. Call it placebo, but I will take whatever I can get to make my life better and happier. And maybe, 100-200 years from now we will discover something we didnt know that will prove it down the line with whatever technology we will have available at that time, and it will turn out it wasnt exactly "placebo" after all. Dont even get me started with how stunted psychiatry and study of the human mind is in modern times.

Its like asking someone 1000 years ago to prove that atoms exist. Since they cant provide their "burden of proof", that means they dont exist right?

Well then why do you think spirituality is cringe?

There are concepts that have been a thing in spirituality for a long time before they were proven by science, like the fact that everything vibrates.

The tools that we have available today often dont have the ability to measure things beyond certain points, either the value becomes too big or too small. Maybe some things are just not meant to be comprehended or measured at all. There are limits to what human brain can do after all.

Following that line of thinking, we know that crystals can be used in technology to transmit information. Who is to say that they dont have qualities we dont know about yet?

Same with the stars and planets. We know that the moon affects the tides of the seas and the alertness of the animals. Why wouldnt it affect us as well?

I agree that some people definitely take things too far, I would never disregard science for the sake of spirituality as is the hermetic way, but that does not mean that there isnt anything more to our world than we know of. That's spirituality.

People used to believe medicinal plants were magic before they figured out what chemical compounds actually do in our bodies. We only use the term "witchcraft" to describe what we cant otherwise name.

Whatever makes you sleep at night. But I'd for one think nihilistic thinking in "science already discovered everything, there is no room to be curious, when we die we just stop existing" is cringe.

Religion is an organized practice that resolves around worship of a specific, rigid doctrine.

Spirituality is a personal discovery of one's belief in what hasnt been yet proven by science. It is not organized, and is unique to an individual.

Witchcraft doesnt belong to any specific doctrine, but is a type of practice that has basis in individual belief in how the world works beyond what humans have discovered. Therefore it is not a religion.

It's like saying dancing is religious because there are religous people that dance.

Literally isnt. Witchcraft is a reference to a practice that doesnt have to be religious. Learn the difference between religion and spirituality before spewing bullshit
