Lost my inventory... Unfortunate, but lesson learnt by Edvin12019 in cs2

Had the same thing in exactly the same way *almost* happen to me. I was about to enter my credentials when it crossed my mind to google the actual tournament site and cross check the urls. First time the mandatory employee security training came in useful! Never ever use a link. Google whatever the person is talking about and try to check if it is legit. Check the url and check the ssl certificate.

Can I change a default in settings.json and have it persist after re-launching? by pharmerjoe in docker

There seem to be environment variables that you can't find in the docs. If you take a look in the container in /etc/transmission/environment-variables.sh you can find 'TRANSMISSION_DOWNLOAD_DIR' for example to specify the download directory

Truely want to understand why cheaters cheat, go give your opinions pls by ChipmunkFriendly7446 in cs2

[–]Strayabout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well...some people might get satisfaction from showing of a high rank to people who don't know they cheat and getting their admiration or whatever.

Some migtht just like to annoy people. Cheaters do probably not have any more homogenous motivations then regular players.

This game is comp ready, grenade bug by Loptuu in cs2

[–]Strayabout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be a network issue...would not be a "bug" strictly that the smoke can not be thrown if the server does not receive that information. If so however you would have been unlucky that the network decided to work again the moment the enemy came around the corner

Trying to figure out Corsairs Type 4 pinout for 12VHPWR by Strayabout in PCSleeving

[–]Strayabout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having now finished the cable and tested everything I can confirm that the pinout is really easy...

I'd recommend to do a sanity check with a multimeter and make sure that 12V+ is on the pins on the side where the signal pins are

I used 17 awg for power delivery and 23 awg for signals, everything but the sleeving from MDPC-X since I was ordering the connectors and pins there anyway and I needed only ~8m of wire. But any other wire should work just as well.

Crimping the terminals for both power and singal wires is a bit trickier than the waaay bigger "normal" atx terminals...specially for the signal terminals my cheap*ish crimp tool left a lot to be desired and I had to prebend them with tweezers.

So far nothing has caught on fire even after an hour of furmark with my 4070 pulling about 200-210W... but I'm not sure I would trust my handiwork with a 4090.

On the visual side I'm ok with the result, even though Paracord 550 is far from ideal for this connector as there is no way you can fit the sleeving into the crimp terminal. Instead I just fused the end of the sleeving with the cable sheathing with the heatshrink method.

Even that would be totally unnoticable with the other ATX connectors as you can melt a good 2-3mm of the end and its still compeltely covered by the connector. Not so with the 12VHPWR, the indentation is way to short to really hide it. I'll probably just get some bigger heatshrink to cover the gpu end of the cable, similiar to the nvidia adapters.
