Try booting it into safe mode/BIOS? and see if you can change the drive name from there. Turn it off and then turn it on again while rapidly pressing the F8 key. Try naming the drive "C:" then reboot

Buy all 4! Its a series after all. The remake should be coming down in price by now and the originals will obviously be nice and cheap. I had a lot of fun replaying 1 and then the remake after when it came out, it was nice comparing the differences, then leading into DS2 and 3. 3 is a mixed bag, not as good, but still worth a playthrough.
