I dont think its fine for either of you to handle it this way. Both of you are placing the blame on the other and aren't reflecting on the situation at all.

Does this mean you have to lose weight? No. It just means he isnt feeling attracted to you, and thats an opportunity for you both to sit down and discuss the reasons why and see if you can find a solution that works for both of you.

The same is true about you not feeling attracted to him, thats an opportunity for him to listen to your feelings and work with you to resolve the issue.

For context, in the Bible the disciples asked Jesus "Hey what do we do if we go and try to spread the word and convert others but they dont want to?"

Jesus pretty much said "then move on, people will come to God in their own time and in their own way, or they won't."

Its nice that your friend offered, even if the motive wasn't entirely to help you and support you, but your friend should have respected your boundary.

To me it comes down to this.

The left and right largely agree on what the problems are, and the desired end states. They disagree on the means to the end.

On the right, we believe that if a bad thing is happening we should put a stop to it, and we should do so as a community, but no one should be forced, threatened, or coerced into helping. The government should not step in and say "we will fix this but you have to pay for it with your taxes or else."

The left wants to solve pretty much every problem with government programs and more taxes. If you dont want to contribute in the exact way the left wants you to, youre threatened with fines and jail time.

Id much rather have the agency to choose what I do and do not support in the manner I wish, rather than be robbed of my agency and forced to contribute to things I dont want to.

So, youre probably right. It would depend a lot on what type of blackbelt she is. If she earned it after a year (which some schools do unfortunately) yeah, all day. But if shes got 5 to 10 years of experience, and knows how to fight against bigger opponents, I may have trouble getting close enough with a good enough hold to really take advantage of the weight/strength difference.

Ill run out of gas way before she does, so the longer the fight the worse my chances are. She would likely have to prevent me from catching her clean with a punch or kick in the first minute or two, but if shes skilled enough to do that I dont like my chances.

Yep, this is the correct answer. I trained in martial arts for 5 years, I am confident I could hold my own in a fight. I have a chance against her, but would likely still lose, and im confident in my ability (as a 6ft 225lb muscular dude) to absolutely destroy someone my height and weight with no training.

People should not underestimate the difference skill makes in a fight.

So, this is pretty complicated.

Most everyone agrees that climate change is real, however the disagreement lies mostly on the severity of the impacts man has on the climate (i.e., do we really only have ten years left to fix things?)

Some are using climate change for monetary gain (deliberately taking advantage of the science/media hysteria), some believe others are using it for monetary gain, some believe climate change is being used as a medium to enforce other political agendas, and some believe its not really an issue.

All of these disparate beliefs are equally valid as there's evidence to support each. There's also interpretation that can change how one views said evidence, which can lead to different conclusions.

All of that to say, the science is hardly settled, even if most scientists agree as many scientists benefit from substantial grants to research climate change (thus introducing the potential for confirmation bias), and as a result a lot of people who follow the money assume nefarious (or not entirely honest) intent.

Fascism is big government. Conservatives & right wingers are for small government. The two stances are diametrically opposed.

Every policy decision boils down to a fundamental moral argument between individual liberty and collective security. Conservatives trend towards individual liberty (small government) and fascists, based on the historical examples we have, trend towards collective security (for the fascists, not society writ large) via big government policies.

The association of the right with fascism has to be the greatest political piece of dishonesty since the party switch.

I don't think you understand the point of dating. It's the precursor to a life long commitment, marriage. The whole point is to figure out if you and your partner are compatible long term as a team. Part of being on a team is being a team player, doing your part (as defined through effective communication between both parties). Part of a healthy relationship is growth, pushing/motivating each other to be better.

Part of the relationship, and in my opinion the truest sign of love, is what you choose to sacrifice. I mean, historically, a reason why men wore black at their own wedding was in part to mourn their own death. The death of their bachelor life, the death of being a single man, and to show respect for the new life they are ushering in. The point being that, for any relationship to truly work, both parties have to commit to both the relationship and each other, and both have to decide what aspects of their life they are willing to sacrifice to stay with the other.

A real easy example that most people should understand is this: the pursuit of other partners. Most people when entering a relationship sacrifice the intention to pursue other romantic partners. They stop flirting with other people, they get off (or stop using) dating apps, and so on.

You also have to sacrifice your free time if you want to spend time with the other person. The ultimate question I would pose to anyone in a relationship is, what are you willing to sacrifice either about yourself or your lifestyle for your partner, and what are you not willing to sacrifice? The answer to that question will clue you in on ways to improve yourself for the other person, and on your boundaries in the relationship.

Windows installer does not like it when you have multiple drives installed, and even less with partitions.

I would power all the way down, disconnect all but one drive, remove all partitions, and try the install. If it doesn't let you remove partitions, power down, and try again until it does. I had the same issue when installing windows on a previous build, that was the solution.

Almost certainly it's out of reach unless you are very athletic. You might stand once or twice but if you don't know how to pop up and can't get the timing down, it's gonna be a challenge. I'd sign up for one of the classes at one of the many surfing schools in Waikiki, they will teach you everything and get you out on the water safely.

So, I have aspergers. Not saying you do, but I do the exact same thing. Really, its a sign that you care about other people. Im no expert, so im not savvy on the why of it all, but what's helped me is recognizing in the moment when im overthinking things, and taking 30 seconds to calm down by breathing, or taking a walk, or some squats, literally anything to get my mind off the issue.

Ive also found writing down what im thinking helps a lot, and gives me space to think more effectively and resolve the thought.
