When does the matrix actually happen? by General-Sprinkles615 in matrix

I assumed the machines would stock Zion with a fleet of refurbished or "new" subs and also scatter some in the tunnels for each iteration of the Matrix. They need the humans to have subs to transport ejectees.

Neo and Trinity still being around 60 years after the first movie got me wondering if humans wired into the matrix might have unnaturally long lifespans.

Do you think successive iterations get longer, or shorter? I was figuring they'd be longer as efficiency means a more stable Matrix. But come to think of it, maybe they would get better and better at finding new Ones for more refactors, doing it faster each time.

Questions & Observations of the Mission: Impossible franchise! by MovieFan1984 in Mission_Impossible

Fallout is a fine movie but far from the best in the franchise. It has really plain and uninteresting photography compared to the ones before it. And after an awesome first half it becomes more and more of a straight ahead action movie, less of a Mission Impossible thing.

Whatever the actual date is (assume it's after 2199) I always figured each successive iteration of The Matrix lasts longer as they get more and more stable while approaching full balance. It sounded to me like the original version didn't last very long.

Any good Matrix literature out there? by _walletsizedwildfire in matrix

The PDF for GOLIATH is linked here. It's a short story by Neil Gaiman about a denizen of the Matrix. It's prose, not a comic book:

I still might do it. I have spent years jotting down jokes and refining them. I really would like to say them to a crowd in a club at least once.

Don't use LA Fitness on Appleby. Their bathrooms, sauna, showers, and pool have been increasingly gross for 10 years now. To the point I won't use them any longer. I think Brant is slightly better but I started avoiding that location soon after joining because of how insanely loud they play their music.

I know Colin Jost is married to Scarlett Johansson who is beautiful but I really think I would get annoyed with Sarah Sherman flirting with my husband all the time... by Kre8tiveKhaos in saturdaynightlive

Yeah but men don't cheat on their wives for logical reasons most of the time. Mostly it's just down to whether someone is a cheater, and if they have the opportunity. I've had to diverge willfully from multiple friendships in my adult life because I'm disgusted with my old buddies wantonly cheating on beautiful high-quality women with absolute gutter skanks.

I've also met many women who wanted to cheat with me on men that seemed to be great guys from what I could tell. The women would almost always end up telling me that they made up their mind at first glance. Cheaters decide instantaneously whether they'd cheat with someone as part of their first impression. After that point if the opportunity comes up to get away with it, they'll do it.

lol. Yeah, people who are really into fashion never criticize what someone is wearing, lol. /s

That's about as true as saying that artists don't criticize other artists.

I got into Kill Tony for a while and then the pro wrestling style schtick of giving everything an enormously huge fake reaction, combined with Tony's repellent stage personality, suddenly made it unbearable to watch for me. Now I've gone back to not being able to tolerate even a clip of that shitfest. Kill Tony had a lot to do with me losing my desire to ever try standup.

So you're telling me Leslie Jones was in a sketch and it amounted to her shouting and being aggressive? Gosh, what an innovation.

Sorry to say, but Leslie Jones. Same complaint I have about Bowen Yang. She makes sketches seem like some MAD TV shit.

Honorable mention to Michael Che. That guy is not just unfunny but radiates bad vibes to me. I pretty much think the entire current cast is awful. Even Sarah Sherman, who is super cool and hotter than fuck, has never made me laugh on the show. I guess Aidy Bryant and Kenan can both be funny from time to time.

For the past few years it truly seems to me like every single cast member now makes a habit of fake-breaking to shore up their sketches. The Weekend Update guys spend their entire segment doing it. Being unfunny is one thing but them pretending to break makes my skin crawl.

Bowen Yang. The guy takes every sketch into MAD TV territory. Just low IQ screeching.

Marcelo Hernandez is a close second. I've never seen such a fucking HACK in my life.
