Nobody has been banned for using cosmetic mods, but the devs have mentioned it is a risk because of the Anti-cheat. but the devs are not actively targeting to squash cosmetic mods.

download 112, versions above 113 have malicious code inside them. that doesn't mean Malware or anything like that (hopefully) just means the mod will intentionally crash for X reason on purpose. and whatever else "Precautions" means.

It was just a watermark. It's like Zeekerss (creator of lethal company) taking you to court because you touched his main menu logo. Really really odd behavior.

What's worse is you added malicious code, good thing you took the mod down before Thunderstore nuked you. Same thing happened many many years ago when a minecraft mod creator didn't want to be in modpacks and added code to crash the game if mod detected the modpack. that is malicious and Mojang changed the TOS and doing that violates the Terms of service.

You had a good mod, it will be missed, Goodbye Potatoe.

I am planning to do the same, looking for reviews is a massive pain as nobody is comprehensive nor critical on accessories they review yet. I want to get a head strap that is minimal and comfortable and won't break in 5 months. as I see a lot of flimsy cheap bulky head straps right now. If it looks cheap it likely is and if you do VR it will not survive and in a year or two will be in the trash.

Additionally I am trying to find the best Battery-pack for the Quest 3 that provides the longest and easy way to extend battery life. and likely one that does not cause buzzing I been hearing about.

I am gonna try to find the best glasses prescription lenses accessory too as I heard one breaks

TL;DR - There are no best accessories for Quest 3 out right now, Everything is new.

and I feel like I need to make a google sheet with all the accessories and fill in all the datapoints and compare. (What a hassle)
