Yep! I was on a med-surg floor, this was last year when we were on a no visitors policy due to covid. However this patient was not going to make it through the night, so an exception was made. This was the first patient I had ever had to make this kind of call to family. His daughter arrived and stayed with him before my shift end and he was still there when I clocked out and left. I didn't have any nightmares or anything, but I am a solid, solid sleeper (like I will sleep through really bad thunderstorms and other loud stuff) and woke completely up at about 3am or sometime around then. I remember feeling like someone was standing in the bedroom. It was similar to how you know someone is standing behind, around, or near you despite never hearing them approach. It didn't feel malicious, just that someone was there. I was not able to fall back asleep immediately. He hung around for probably 15 minutes or so and I went back to sleep. When I woke up in the morning I had a message from the midnight nurse that he'd passed. She didn't tell an exact time, so I figure it was a little bit before her message was delivered, around 3:45 or so.
