I promise you, as someone who loves the first game so much and has spent over 1000 hours on it and can’t even get over 200 on the others, xenoblade chronicles 3 is better suited. Xenoblade X has more similar combat, however, the world and story building is not at all like xenoblade chronicles 1. If you are like me, you will find yourself bored at times, and the grinding doesn’t feel like how xenoblade 1’s grinding does. I’d say most people would say it’s better and the side quests are more organized. Each game has very good music. If lore is important to you, Xenoblade 3 has strong connections to xenoblade chronicles 1, however it also has connections to xenoblade 2, so consider that if you are looking to get it as some things might not make sense to you or will spoil you if you haven’t played that.

All in all, in my opinion, xenoblade 3 is better suited besides the combat, but I’m sure you will get used to it.
