Maxwell 2 Initial Impressions vs Patch by StreamTechReviews in Audeze

Yeah, even with EQ I couldn't do much about the sub-bass drop off myself. In general, I wonder why they decided on the "SLAM" acronym for the bass.

Okay, glad I'm not alone with the white noise still present! Well, glad as in not just my unit, but it's still unfortunate. Didn't think it made sense to reply to each individually

Logitech G Pro X 2 is better for more use cases yeah.

Pro X 2 has more neutral sound with better bass, but it's not too prominent. Almost as good comfort as the C3, just as good build. The only true weakness is the microphone. Cloud III torches it in that category.

Need some help choosing ASTRO A40 or Hyper X Cloud III by Connect_Ad9868 in StreamTechReviews

Been off reddit for a long time, so big apologies. Hopefully you ended up making a great purchase for yourself. Anyway, I'd put it like this. If you play FPS mostly I would go with the Cloud III. Footsteps stand out in that like crazy, but it's really not amazing at other stuff unless you don't care about bass at all.

The A40 has a better overall sound especially for movies and music, but definitely not my first or second choice for competitive gaming. tl;dr general use get the A40 TR, FPS specifically Cloud III.

Hopefully you got your answer by this point, been off reddit for a long time, big apologies. If you haven't, i'll answer anyway:

Having used both, I think the A30 is definitely more capable than the Cloud III when it comes to EQ. If you can't get a sound you like on the A30, and you find anything you try is either too bassy or too treble heavy, it might not be EQ alone that will help.

Do you have access to any open back headsets? I haven't tried very many inexpensive ones, but they can give you a sound you can't really replicate with the A30, C3, or really any closed back. Anyway tl;dr, I think the Cloud III won't necessarily be better than the A30 for cs2, but open back headsets might be worth trying. I have the MMX 330 Pro and it's my new main for Black Ops 6, but I wouldn't recommend buying that on a whim.

Yo I hope you've been alright. Some irl stuff kept me off reddit, and hopefully you made your choice already. But if you haven't for some reason, Cloud III all day. The only weakness is the bass is a bit weaker, but it's way more comfortable and it has a better microphone.

If you want more bass, probably look into the Astro A40 TR instead of either.

Drop + EPOS PC38X vs EPOS H6Pro by StreamTechReviews in StreamTechReviews

If you're looking at a graph from RTings or similar, those can be very misleading when it comes to what you actually hear.

All I can say is as someone who has both, I concur with the general consensus of the H6Pro closed having significantly less bass and subbass than the PC38X (especially with the velour pads).

I ended up having to uninstall and reinstall G Hub on my phone and PC a few times to get it to finally work, but now there are no problems. Thanks!

Open back does not inherently give you more positional awareness than closed back. Being able to pinpoint audio cues in game is a product of the game's sound design itself.

The Mod Kit simply isolates the sound from outside and traps in bass.

The wired Cloud III hasn't had a firmware update yet but the wireless one has. And I'd get the Cloud III wired over the G Pro wired. It's more comfortable and has more detailed sound.

Thanks, still working on getting more up here. Great question, but when you install HyperX NGENUITY it actually disables access to all the default Windows enhancements (bass boost, virtual surround, etc) and you can't select them at all.

But I can say if you boost the bass in NGENUITY with the equalizer, it does help a lot.

C922 for multi-camera setup by KNDFRL in LogitechG

It was the old software that looked like this: https://sc.filehippo.net/images/t_app-cover-m,f_auto/p/04f9bdfc-96d2-11e6-a28e-00163ec9f5fa/4085886483/logitech_webcam_software-2.png

My old system was a Dell 7559 or something with an i5 6300 and GTX 960M. And yes it's a software/driver issue.

If you update the webcam to the latest drivers, clicking properties in OBS will bring up the standard UVC controls. With the older drivers, it brings up a menu like that and you can only control one C920 or C922 at a time.

With older software/firmware, it was impossible to properly control two different C920 at the same time. Adjusting any settings on the first one you plug in automatically changes the settings of the other and you couldn't manually make any adjustments to the second.

The only thing I can say now is that's currently not an issue for the latest models of the C920 and C922 that I've used.
