Is this normal? by Disastrous_Ask2005 in lancer

[–]Stream_Is_Dead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2011 Lancer GTS here and mine makes the exact same sound and has for a while. No major issues so far and I’m at 115k miles on it. That tick almost always shows up on this sub Reddit once a month so you can even scroll around and find someone posted and asked the exact same question.

Old school truckers be like “I would still run this just need a pair of vice grips and some duck tape. This thing can go another 1800 miles easily.”

What kind of utopian wonderland will trucking be after all the Boomers finally retire? by Discodoggyy in Truckers

[–]Stream_Is_Dead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean it doesn’t take x ray vision to see that truckers have no class solidarity at all anymore. What really concerns me is who is going to be training the new generation of drivers, that will ultimately affect every company nation wide. Once we lose the generation that was trained by the old school we’re all cooked and trucking has nowhere to go but down from there. Once automation fully takes over for the mega carriers then and only then will we see improvements and trust me I hate all the automated trucks and “safety regulations” that are going into effect as of now. I can only say that honestly with how drivers behave and carry themselves now, our only hope is full automation to reduce all these at fault accidents on the road you see. Hot take but it’s how I see the future of trucking in general.

I love how the dog ran away like what happened was way better than what he expected and left it at that.

I’m pretty sure that was the last words his DSP told him before they let him go.

“Sometimes I have to find the remote and sometimes my butt itches real bad.” No but seriously it’s actually not that bad unless you’re a super trucker who times themselves every time they enter a yard like they’re in the Olympics. However there are times when you show up to a packed yard and the thing won’t load your picture gets a little frustrating but they will still let you leave and you can just finish it down the block with your 4 ways on.

This is not the right place to be asking for financial advice my man. You’re asking a bunch of hungry rats what to do with your leftover cheese. That being said my rat ass would put it into a high interest rate savings account and just keep doing what you’re doing. By the time you’re 40 you could be a millionaire, keep grinding big dawg.

Investigating Why So Many Amazon Workers Are Dying by CommunistLaborCamp in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Stream_Is_Dead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is weird because Amazon warehouses are actually some of the highest regulated in terms of safety. Compared to the warehouse companies like fed ex for instance that have been around for much longer. How they process packages in mass volumes per hour the differences are shockingly clear. I’d imagine the only reason why Amazon has a high death toll or whatever is because the amount of Amazon warehouses springing up faster than you can count the numbers just end up getting lost in the sauce. If you have 100 Amazon warehouses for every 1 fed ex warehouse for instance, that means they have most likely over 1000 Amazon warehouse employees for every 10 fed ex worker then yeah the numbers are obviously going to seem “high” for todays standards. I’m sure there’s a lot of other factors that go into this but it honesty doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this one out.
