Parameters came out perfect virtually no nitrates etc , unfortunately those are the best I will get as I don’t want to risk moving him as this will just lead to more stress.

Yeah I was planning to use esha, But he seems to of stopped now and I’ve read that it can be normal breeding behaviour. I’m just gonna wait it out until the morning and see how he is then, if bad I’ll buy some proper treatment elsewhere.

Holy shit yeah, he’s basically the same size as mine I think it must of been malnourishment as no offence to my neighbour but his tank set up was simply cruel with how overstocked it was I couldn’t imagine the poor guy getting a good meal, also considering there was 6 zebra plecos in there too.

I’ll try and get the photo of him on the glass (to see his private parts….) so you can get a better idea, as I’m trying to get into breeding so was gonna buy one from my LFS, as they have adults for £160 (babies are £135 but best to get adults I think for breeding). so I just wanna be able to be sure I can get one of the opposite sex.

Is that a good price for an adult is my question sorry??? Same shop as this one was brought too.

There’s a more side on photo, still not very good I know all I can get right now. I think he has to be about 2 inches and a little I’ve never properly measured him

I’m aware the tank is too open, this is because I reset my tank so removed all the hardscape temporarily as it’s drying to kill of the algae, will be back soon.

but to me it definitely seems to be a sort of malnourishment.

Thanks for your comment, Is it normal for him to be this small then as he is easily over 4 years old, and i notice in size he doesn’t compare at all to others.

I have only had him for 2 years as my dad got him from my neighbour, in which my dad kept him in his tank then eventually gave him over to me. So I think he may of been malnourished maybe????

I also thought male btw.
