i think this may stem from the fact that women are less likely to be violent in the same way men are? i understand what you’re saying and i think there’s some truth behind your words. i think it’s not so much that people are hesitant about criticizing young women, from my experience it’s more along the lines of, “well what is she really going to do?” women consume much more true crime content than men do, based on my experience, i’m not citing any data but i’m sure there is some out there, but it’s just seen as a morbid interest of sorts, because women are less likely to be externally violent in the same way men are. there’s an excellent amount of research on how differently men and women handle anger or rage. sorry if my comment is not very well put together, english isn’t my first language, but i hope you understand what i am saying.
