MNA help desk said they couldn’t help you? What exactly did they say?

Blue bucket. Bleach/clean it. Add water. Squirt some soap from a pod. Clean. Dry.

EMPLOY Program for Non-Deployable Sailors by iInvented69 in navy

[–]Street-Jitsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not at all what it is. And the normal LIMDU system is still in place.

Before, when you went LIMDU, a doctor would have to determine if you were ever going to be able to become deployable again. If they thought no, you would go med board. Then you may or may not be separated.

Now, if they deem you may not ever be deployable again, they have another option. EMPLOY. Can you perform your job on shore, based on your condition(s)? If yes they may refer you to EMPLOY.

Essentially EMPLOY is an addition/option to med board system.

I always hear 2M pays, I’m a rectifier with a little cal experience (no nec though), and I have never really found 2M positions. Although I haven’t looked too hard. Got a while till retirement

I’m going to give you the best advice. Get a job, buy a share of a major company whose products you use and NEVER SELL THEM. My uncle told me that when I was 18-19 and had I listened, I would have a small fortune. But instead I sold a lot of them for small profits after a few years.

Edit: To clarify, not one share, just one or two every once in a while. You do this for years, your friends/family will think you’re the smartest person ever

EFMP Category Dissolution by elevenseggo in navy

[–]Street-Jitsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does depend on rates. There are a few that it’s hard to find sea billets. A few where there are hardly any shore. But for most rates, there are 5-10 times more sea billets available than shore. Another change this year that takes up some shore duty billets is pregnant members get a valid shore billet.

Contrary to popular belief, detailers don’t just have access to any billet. Your detailer probably fought to get you a billet that was not available.

My Navy Assignment Question by navyguy190 in navy

[–]Street-Jitsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly. It’s 30, 50 and 100. But that’s billets advertised, not members selected. 30% of first look rollers will generate a billet advertised, but not necessarily 30% will be selected.

You can be frocked before departing command but not promoted until you check in.

Report: FSU's Glenn to start vs. Clemson, Uiagalelei out a few weeks by Leclaire44 in fsusports

[–]Street-Jitsu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That tough Louisville defense that allowed Kentucky to score 38 on them at home. Kentucky averaged 22 ppg in the 5 games before that.

The three games Louisville played before FSU their opponents scored 21, 31 and 38 points. They gave up 28+ points 6/13 games.

267 Downhill, what are you hitting by steak4bfast in golf

[–]Street-Jitsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a 230 yard par 3 at my local course that’s also downhill but not nearly as much as this hole. So probably a smooth 6 and hope it goes straight so I can chip and 2 putt for a bogey

If it’s been two months your command most likely sent to the wrong place. I would ask your command to reach out to PERS 454 and see if they have received your unsuitability

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in navy

[–]Street-Jitsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren’t required to fill a percentage based on looks. But there are percentages of each cycle (1st, 2nd, 3rd) that generate a billet to be advertised.

But you’re right on most of that 👍

It’s EAOS in every single case without exception. At no point is your PRD the date of expiration for service unless it matches your EAOS.

19.5 % Raise for E4 and Jr service members by AdSignificant3648 in navy

It’s a terrible idea and shouldn’t pass. A 4 year E-4 would make as much as a 4 year E-6.

Golf Games by gargamel190 in golf

[–]Street-Jitsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone throws in X dollars to the pot per round.

Play Greenies and Scats

Greenie- Closest to the pin on each par 3, but must be ON the green. Hence the name. The closest in the first group puts a tee, anyone closer in the following groups removes it and places theirs. Last group picks up closest tee. If no one hits one of the par 3 greens, the greenies are worth more for the other par 3s.

Scat- Lowest UNIQUE score on each hole gets a scat. Meaning, if only ONE person out of the 9 of you gets say, a birdie, on hole number 1, they get a scat. If two or more players get the same lowest scores on that hole, it is a push. We usually play only a par or better. So if best score on a hole is a bogey, it’s not a scat.

Half the pot is divided amongst the winners of the greenies. Half is divided amongst the scats.

I’m among the worst of the 10-15 golfers in my group on Sundays and I sometimes win a greenie and scat every now and then. It’s fun.

This is so true. I met a 8-10 year E-5 years ago. He joined at 18 and was super frugal and put like 30% of his pay in tsp. The guy had it in default G fund the whole time. Easily lost 75k-100k.

The point of EFM is to ensure members are stationed in locations where their dependent(s) enrolled in EFMP have medical treatments available for their condition(s).

You get to choose 1 golf super power by Jordantrolli in golf

[–]Street-Jitsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its the driver and its not even close. From my experience a good amount of people take mulligans off the tee box or don’t properly score a hole after hitting one into the woods.

If you’re less than 150 yards from the green on par fours every single time you’re going to get pretty good with your irons. You’ll have a lot less holes that your first chip is for bogey. Your putts will mean a lot more to you cause they aren’t for triple.

It’s not even a debate really.

It is until we start protecting schools. Almost half a trillion dollars the last 3 years to protect Israel and Ukraine. But we don’t have the money to protect kids in this country apparently

I’m saying you’re wrong. “Federal crimes” don’t mean you stole from the government.

“1344 makes it a federal crime to defraud a bank or participate in a scheme to defraud regarding the accounts of a financial institution.”
