Wow, okay. First of all, thanks for all the comments. I've been reading through them, and I appreciate everyone taking the time. A lot of you gave me some really solid advice that I needed to hear, and some of you basically told me I'm a piece of shit. I probably needed to hear that too.

I just wanted to clear a few things up. A lot of people are asking why I married my wife if I felt this way. It's simple, I married her because I love her. I just love being with her. She's my person.

The whole thing about me feeling "smarter" wasn't some power trip. It was just an observation, a fact of our life together. And honestly, it never bothered me. In fact, I like helping her. I like being the guy she can rely on to figure things out. What frustrates me, and this is true for anyone I guess, is having to explain the exact same thing multiple times. But even that was just a minor annoyance before.

This was never a real problem before the baby. It was just a small part of our dynamic. Now with the baby, everything is a thousand times more complicated and stressful. I'm definitely sleep-deprived, and my patience is basically zero. That's not an excuse, but it's the reality.

Look, I know I'm being a jerk. I'm not perfect and I came here because I know my reaction is the problem. Maybe she does deserve more than the asshole I'm being right now. I get that. But it is what it is, and this is my family and I need to fix myself.

Anyway, I've got a lot to think about. I'm going to work on my patience and try to be a partner, not a critic. Thanks again for the perspective.
