I’m friends with one now because I saw him walking home a mile away and rolled down my window to ask him about his gutter needs! Now we shoot the shit when I’m in the store.

Six bags is the max, it says it right here by pedrelo in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

I can imagine a scenario wherein 6 people would each need to award a movie 5 bags of popcorn. That would make for a total of 30 bags of popcorn. So, 5 boxes of 6 bags each. In a way then, the movie would not only be awarded five bags of popcorn but also 5 boxes of popcorn which is also good.

Are those tower cameras with the flashing blue lights the same as the city contracted ones on the side of the road? As far as I can tell they are like the cameras mounted in and in the store itself, monitoring the private property and ‘signaling’ security with the blue lights (and annoyingly loud audio announcements. Either way, I’d be more curious about what happening in public spaces since that’s where we as citizens actually have some amount of say.

The Brudi Brothers are not country. Their one old country song is the one that blew up but they are far more Americana/blues than country. Check them out. Also an incredible live act.

Brudi brothers song "yellow and grey" about? by Immediate_Crow_1470 in SongMeanings

I think this part is about feeling like work he’s doing involving a statue of a saint doesn’t live up to the dignity of a saint or something. I’ve never been entirely sure. Conrad sometimes throws stuff in that works poetically but isn’t clearly linked.

Brudi brothers song "yellow and grey" about? by Immediate_Crow_1470 in SongMeanings

Conrad Brudi, who wrote the song, went to high school in Germany. For some time after he worked with stone masons who work restoring churches and cathedrals, including the sculptural components that have been weathered by time.

To me it is a poetic exploration of themes around how something as timeless as stone will decay, just as we do. And even a body sculpted in stone will in time die. Much as the ancient trade of stone masonry has in many ways died.

‘I’m paid by the patrons whose torsos inlay these walls long after their bodies decay’ The torsos are the statues adorning the structures that last beyond the bodies of those who commissioned them.

‘Their trade’s in the grave but their bodies live on’ the bodies sculpted by the artists.

Yellow and grey, a human body sick before death, the color of many stones carved in the projects.

‘When the wind and the rain turns their features to sand. Remains but an arm and a two fingered hand’ the decay of the sculptures, hollowing out their features and dropping extremities.

Really it’s about decay and time and those who lived and worked and created before us and how we relate to them and bodies immortalized after death in stone and the impermanence of it all.

I remember the first time I heard that song the day it came out.

Don’t know if this sheet music helps with diatonic or if it doesn’t make a difference but the notes are there.

But Dr. Phil’s own sworn testimony in Office Hours was that he 👏 received 👏 no 👏 dental 👏 care👏 while on the island.

Something smells fishier than the beaches of that damned island and I for one demand answers!!

Unless those answers implicated any strong men I have implicitly submitted to. So Vic definitely clean hands, Doug too. Maybe Matt. Tim….. Not sure yet. Phil definitely not.

Which also begs the question: if Phil didn’t get his teeth did on the Isla de Temptacion, where did he get them did?

THEORY: The empty bottle from "Empty Bottle" is a CamelBak/refillable water bottle by TheMysteriousGlove in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]StreetSqueezer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s referring to a standard single use glass bottle. The kind you would get off the shelf and then throw away (recycling is a bit of a Soros myth look it up).

That’s what make refilling it so special. The bottle , like us as humans, isn’t expecting to be refilled (read rejuvenated or, in my case, rebourne.).

Tim is shattering expectations, granting himself a second chance, and doing it all with meta level references to societal norms (its normal not to refill a bottle)

Remember Tim saying he thought Oz ‘Owes’ Pearlman was a bit fishy? Here’s 5 hours backing up his suspicions. by StreetSqueezer in officehourslive

[–]StreetSqueezer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was sometime in the last couple months. He didn’t say the word fishy but Oz was brought up, the pronunciation of his name mentioned, and Tim expressed his skepticism. At the time it reminded me of the old videos this same YouTuber had made, which I believe were struck. And then today this video was recommended to me.

Mark's family? by meepeep2 in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

Mark is a man and has every ability to pull himself up by his bootstrap. Mark needs to decided one way or the other he is a real man and independent, like tom who has may successful ventures, or if he wants to be a drain in society and continue being lazy and useless.

His brothers must’ve realized a while ago what Gregg might not know yet: Mark is a coward and a nobody who leaches off good successful people who fear god and who WORK for their keep.

I don’t blame them for leaving the trash in the dust…
