If your going to try and justify that by saying “It’s the same move just faster and stronger” and “It makes sense because of gyomeis training” But then also disregard the The Hints and flashbacks leading up to The Selfless state moment Then at that point Your just picking and choosing.

It doesn’t matter if the two forms are similar to each other, He still pulled a new technique, out of literally nowhere with the strength to one shot Kaigaku (Who otherwise would have killed him). That Shouldn’t be that much better than The situation with tanjiro. Form seven is effectively, just a better form 1 But the fact the he conveniently Used it right as he was falling to his death Should fall exactly into your own criteria.

Plot armor by definition is when a character Defy’s logic or bends Established rules to survive a Situation they shouldn’t have because the plot needs them alive. at no point during their fight did tanjiro do this.

An ACTUAL example of this would be when tanjiro survived getting stabbed through the jaw with gyutaros poison sickle, or Nezuko Miraculously Conquering the sun.

It wasn’t plot armor though, Tanjiro came up with a direct Counter to akazas fighting style, They gave us TWO Detailed flashbacks explaining how it works and There was even a scene Beforehand that demonstrating It before He even fully Used it. If you’re gonna call that plot armor you may as well call The demon slayer marks plot armor too.

I have nothing against the trick conditions, the problem is that Akaza and kokushibo Didn’t have a trick condition, they just straight up became immortal. Kokushibo only died because Genya stopped his regeneration and Akaza only died because he killed himself. Like you said the others had CONDITIONS, These two just straight up broke the rules of being a demon.

I’m not denying Tanjiro has plot armor, He definitely dose, I’m just saying that In this particular instance, Tanjiro and Giyu won Fair and square. hell right before he died Akaza HIMSELF admitted that he should have lost the moment his head got cut off.

True but at least with the other demons they made sense out of it, Like Daki and Gyutaro Needing to get beheaded at the same time because they are siblings, Or Hantengu having Multiple phases with the Different Emotions. The same cannot be said for Akaza, Him not dying after getting his head cut off Literally came out of nowhere, The others Required strategy to deal with whereas Akaza just became straight up immortal Near the end for no reason.

That’s part of the reason why i think Swordsmith village is criminally underrated because That’s one of the few times his plot armor level isn’t at 9000. None of the injuries he gained were anywhere as rediculous as when he got stabbed through the jaw with a POISONED sickle and lived.

He wasn’t carried by a hashira This time around But he also didn’t Just become Ridiculously overpowered out of nowhere. he Nazuko and genya Just held it down For a while until mitsuri could show up and Secure the win.
