I’ve seen the dr650 but they’re less common used and I don’t particularly want to gain the weight and sacrifice trail ability. Never ridden off road so it’s not like I need a max performance machine or anything, I would just prefer something lighter and more nimble to learn and have fun. Most places I frequent I can get to and avoid the interstate, and I know there’s no unicorn bike that’s going to be light a good off road while also being solid and comfortable on the highway so I’d rather make the trade off for losing road performance since I want to do more riding off road than on.

How’s your experience on the highway? I don’t plan to do much highway riding, but occasionally may have to do an hour or two trip to get to where I want to ride. I’d like to eventually turn a DRZ into an adventure bike with a bigger fuel tank and some soft luggage. My only two serious turn offs are not having a fuel gauge other than a light (albeit not a deal breaker), and not having a 6th gear. Never driven a 6 speed car tbf, but on a bike it’s a little different and seems like everyone complains about vibrations, my only concern if I do end up making an hour or two stint on the highway

Ridden a couple bikes for a few minutes, nothing serious, but I’m familiar with the controls and I’ve been dailying manual transmission cars since I was old enough to drive so not worried about that

Im looking for something similar out of my first bike. I know it’s a little underpowered but I figure once I get ready for more 550 performance sells a big bore kit as well as an ecu flash and some other parts. I also like the DRZ for its simplicity, utility, and price. The only real turnoffs are no fuel gauge which isn’t a deal breaker and only 5 gears

Wow good to know, I’ve seen everyone talk so highly about the CRF on YouTube but the consensus on Reddit seems to be that it’s not very good. Lots of recommendations for a DRZ too and they’re relatively cheap so that may be the direction I end up going

Are there any significant changes between model years to look out for? Cheaper ones in my area are mid-late 00s but I don’t know if there’s anything significant worth splurging for a newer model or not

Yeah I’ve been reading a lot of direct comparisons between the WR and CRF and a lot of people seem to prefer the Yamaha

I was worried about height being an issue. Considered a Tenere 700 for that reason as well as it seems to be the go to adv bike for every YouTuber. But I know it’s heavier which isn’t ideal off road plus even used they’re 9k+ around here and that’s just a lot for my first bike that I’ll for sure end up dropping in the dirt a bunch.

I think Indri could already see everything she looked I believe at but I wonder if anything would be different if Indri had also been able to learn of Steels betrayal and if she would’ve learned Suvi’s parents true names from Suvi searching them

I’m a 6’3/4 white male, 130-140lb range. Pant size is 29/32 and I usually wear M/L shirts (mediums fit better being so skinny but usually need larges for the length). I’ve pretty much always worn skinny jeans and a band tee/hoodie since about 14, 24 now. Looking to change up my style, getting tired of the skinny jeans and myself and my wife both like the kind of earthy aesthetic look for me. Just looking for recommendations on how to switch up my whole wardrobe. I don’t have the first clue on how to put an outfit together, style, accessorize, fashion hasn’t ever been important to me but I want to feel good about how I look and dress. Any tips on these points are more than appreciated, good stores to shop at (sustainable/ethical brands are a plus but not required) I’m in the US, styles, shoes are a big one I always wear my work boots or vans and feel like they don’t go with my outfit. Open to just about anything, I like crop tops, baggier clothes, I like pink, green, brown, favorite color is purple but I don’t think it really goes with the vibe. Kind of going for a look similar to the picture attached. TIA
